ffs Benn lol
Chromed shaft (oo-er!)
I'm sure there plenty of innuendos in there about polishing your shaft too....
haha i know, no point at all you say. But you know its done, like the polished steering rack. But you know its there..lol
Loved polishing my shaft too...
:D Fair play for chroming and polishing everything in sight mate. Especially when you run this car all year round! I wonder how many cars with chromed shafts/bottom ars etc etc aren't tralior queens? lol
Keep it up sir. :thumb:
Benn, you really are a tart lol
This seems to be going all out chrome polishing etc.
Will look sweet but will mean washing and cleaning the car takes that much longer. The shafts will always need to stay shiney now. Hope they don't flake after all the road drit abuse they'll get.
Looking mint though :thumb:

By that I mean that there seems to be a lot of bits getting the chrome and polishing treatment
Ah, i want every to look nice and like i've spent time on it.
Think this thread proves just that dude. I like it
ffs what ever next lol
Me too Tek.. lol
Browny you love it.
First 2 things i did before VBOA @ Billing some of you might have spotted.
Made this with big help from my dad.

Covered the ecu too, as some times you can see it under the dash.. Isn't perfect so i wanna do it again.

As at times when letting off/changing gear at high rmp i get a puff of oil smoke, i've picked up a new head from Dan (cheers dude) ready to re-build.
Strip down.

Getting all the valves out this week, to change the stem seals and grind the valves in.
Picked this up at the start of July. Brand new GM tail gate. :) Thanks to Simon Nova Mad for this..

Needs fitting so i can fix and shape to be right on the car, so i left my car at the bodyshop tonight so i can go in early to moz and play. Then it can be painted and fitted, got another rear spoiler ready to paint and fit with it, a brand new rear screen rubber and thinking of buying a brand new rear screen too, as a few of the lines on mine dont work and it looks old and tatty... More soon.
Bootlid killerlol
Was it stem seals causing the smoke or something worse?
new gate, nice.
I see some of the dubbers are getting rear screens with the heating elements deleted, to look cleaner. Is that an option? can you scrape off the elements & buff up the glass? It would look cool.
ECU covering is a good idea. One of the big-block conversion 'hates' for me.
I've been told that as well craig, Lmfao at the magic tree
Believe so, after the swap i'll find out if not..lolQuote:

To have tinted it has the lines, i'd be worried about making the glass trying to get the lines off.. Am trying to get a bit that's like the front screen with the tiny lines you can hardly see...Quote:

What that's mental enough to spend 3nights hand stitching it, getting funked off that i cant get it straight and having to get my dad to help before i had a paddy?
Where did you get your new rear screen rubber from ?
Can't you just mount the ecu on the bulkhead behind and above the fuse box ?
I did on my old XE.
sounds just like me lol, benn you'll make somone a good wife lolQuote:

Very cool tree though mate! This car gets better and better. :)

Nick.
Been following this cars progress for years - love it - a very nice Nova a credit to you Benn
Nice touch with the magic tree benn, think I've seen 1 flocked in a vw mag once.
An inspiration to us all, the thing that gets me is how do you constantly have the time and enthusiasm to keep constantly changing and improving the car allthough you use it nearly every day?
Don't you ever think, ah **** it I'd do that tomorrow, or it's a bit cold outside...... lol lol
surely there's a mag feature soon on this car.
+ have you ever thought of fitting the corsa servo to totally tidy up the bay?
Great work as ever mate.
Thank you very much that's very nice too hear. And yeah, line up the holes mark and drill, then paint it and then bond on and bolt up the spoiler.Quote:

But i see things i don't like and wanna get it changed to be what in my eyes is better. Or if not better just different or nicer. Some times i can just be thinking about it and see the way i'd like it, then i just try and do it.
Car was at the bodyshop last night and to day as the tail gate needed tweaking and adjusting, as it had sat on one corner for a while in the box, Keith (old boss and owner of the bodyshop) asked me how the hell i drive it with it so old and hard and bumpy.. I said you get used to it and you have to suffer for the looks..lol But driving it home thru town was a good place to look at it in shop windows..
I did think about the Corsa servo when i re did the bay, was a lil worried about fitting and getting it all right and working and such so left it. I rather get the air filter and afm out of the bay..lol
Again thank you very much.
both sets off wheels would look ace mate!! and this looked awesome as ever at pv this year mate perfection!!Quote:
