Much better.
Painted the inner part of the door hand too, as it had red over spray on it.

With the wing off i found i was using side repeaters with the orange cups still in them.. Eeww couldn't have that.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9150.jpg
Got them out right away..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9151.jpg
Much better..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9153.jpg
Pick these up from Ebay, 4LED "super Xenon bright side light" bulbs, perfect as they look clear and clean but flash orange.

Also pick up my door cards this morning. Now these have cost more to have made than buying the leather seats at a steal.
Now i wanted something simple, with a standard kinda feel, but made better, but i needed away for the sound to come thru from the speakers behind. Spent ages looking at other people doors cards and came to this design as it was simple and nice. I'm happy with them..
Put the pockets back on, with a lil trimming on the rear for speaker clearance.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9148.jpg
On the car..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9159.jpg
Fitted with new stainless screws and washers ofcorse..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9155.jpg
Done to match the seats.. With the martial the headlining made from as the speaker cover part..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9160.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9167.jpg
Door closed..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9158.jpg
Now had this a few weeks, have been waiting for LED lit window switches to be finished before i fitted it..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9162.jpg
Again matching the seats.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9163.jpg
Check out my stitching...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_9164.jpg
Fitted new leads to day, but still having the missing/bogging down prob. GGrrr
Nice!!
Black carpet next? :)
Nice work fella..... I had a very similar sounding problem with my mk4 let astra and it turned out to be the loom plug that connected to the afm had a dodgy connection. A little pin tweaking later and it was fine. ;)
Nick.

Liking the leather work though. Car is looking spanking mate.
Mice work on the trimming mate. Coming together well.

Dye it, kids paddling pool and plenty of dye, or mowgli linked a place that sells carpet for restoration projects that might be worth looking at.Quote:

Group buy on coloured carpets. Get in touch with Newton commercial. They do awesome aftermarket carpets for VW's.
No i didn't, my 4speed one makes me laugh. Hear a guy saying "he couldn't believe i'd left a speed box in with a let"Quote:

Would need a link, but a black carpet might make it look too black...Quote:

That was a guess but it does look shorter too. Maybe the knob itself covers more shaft so makes it look shorter if not chopped.Quote:

There's alot of black in there at the mo.. Adding in black mats too Is all i'm thinking.Quote:
