I prefer the hammer method, (though cut a slice out of the top of the leg, hammer together and re-weld) Less un protected metal to rust, and looks factory if done right)
But nice to see the car making progress :D

p.s i would love to paint this.......
the leg was in quite a state tbh, its been hit so hard its actually broke a spot weld on the other side of the chassis leg in the wheel side of the leg so atleast cutting it out will make it look a deliberate mod rather than a botched job, but i take your point that it can be done neatly with a hammer
i cant see it getting painted anytime soon lol but i'll say to him mate, DC doesnt have a working PC atm and his phone doesnt like the new forum lol
bit of a wasted day, half way through the welder ran out of wire, fine went and got a new spool, while feeding through the new wire the gas ran out!!!!!!!, bloody anoying, anyway a pic or 2 of todays little work
