A 3mm spacer has been knocked up which should hopefully be enough.

May have found out if I wasn't in a rush to be home for work.

Rick Draper and Gaz'd both had this problem using a twin plate on the fwd gearbox.

Ah rite hope its enough, how much can you space it out before you have to worry about the spigot shaft not protruding through the centre of the clutch plates? Take it theres a fair wack left.

I'm not sure mate, will have to wait for Gareth to answer that but I don't think there was a lot left. The 3mm spacer should give plenty of room to stop the box fouling the clutch assembly though.

Ah ok just asked as it looked not far off and wondered.

Have to let me know the outcome and a pic of the spacer as its same setup im upgrading too.

Hi mike to get a good clearance I need ideally 4mm which means the input shaft splines are apporox 17mm through of the 20mm that the Plate thickness is which is why using the 3mm spacer then just smooth a bit off the bellhousing wall.

are you saying the input shaft splines won’t be fully through the clutch plate splines?

In a nut shellate yes the splines could do with being about 3mm longer but the theroy that the clutch torque ratin is overkill on it so should be ok???
