My Nova Build -WIP-

Update time, not alot to show though...

got a throttle cable from Ebay with a 90 degree bend

Got some rubbers from Yamaha for mounting my air filter back plate too

And made a template to transfer onto the new blank back plate to be cut out

Thats it for pics as I didn't take any today, sorry! But want to say a massive thanks to Alan (Prey) for his help today on the wiring. You are a legend, got so much done for me as I will be honest and say I didn't have a clue what to do or where to start!! lol So cheers mate, as said it's very much appreciated. Also cheers to Iainel for popping around to give us some abuse and a hand! :d

Started off by getting my rocker switch and push button start wired in, then stripped all the tape from the loom right into the engine bay. Next sorted out all the plugs to bin and what was needed. Then worked our way back into the car. Got lights all wired in and working, coil in and wired up, rev limiter ready to go in and made a start on a few wires the the tacho on the vapour dash. Just got the rest of the dash wires to finish, kill switch and fuel pump and pretty much ready to think about getting it running then :d

Come on Ian get this finished soon! you have to beat Lionel to it! lol

lol It will be done soon its not far off now, think i'm confident I can get it done before Iain :d he spent too long at mine instaed off getting his stonechip on lol

Your be finished, on track and have crashed it once before iain has finished his, that will still be cluttering up his mums drive in 5 years time lol

No worries mate - anytime - thanks for the stuff! I always seem to womble things, quite a bad habit sometimes, also would cheerfully have adopted your puppy, reminded me of when mine were little!

Thought we would have got more done tbh but if you're clearer on what you need to get to get finished then it's all good. We just need to literally connect the wires on the coil, then sort the dash/pump/battery/starter cabling like you say and it will be good to go.

Hopefully will have mine sorted this wkend (fingers crossed) so will be able to flick down in that next time and try to convert you to the benefits of megajolt lol....

Alan, sounds good, we'll take a trip to the auto electric place and pick up the last few bits I need and as said there's not too much left to do. I'm still well pleased with what you got done already, its a massive step for the car :cool: looking forward to seeing the nova too :thumb:

A good place for car wiring bits and pieces is Vehicle Wiring Products Ltd. They are based in Ilkeston, Nottingham so not far from you Ian and Alan.
