Ad - Donington is usually 101dB driveby (but thats at trackside, not at 20metres away)
Just about to book onto Rockingham, which have 103 static and driveby (but again, at trackside, not 20metres)
Ash - I got mine from www.ThePipercrossShop.co.uk as it happens lol very very helpful people, I bought the C6100RH (Airbox, 100mm inlet pipework, integral filter, right hand entry as you look at it), I bought the C6051 backing plate for it to fix to, as I'm going to me mounting it half way up my 90mm trumpets as they don't make one to accomodate 90mms, and they're throwing in a C604D sausage filter (125mm ID) for when I'm not running the box. I paid ?231.94 delivered.
Breakdown being, C6100RH Airbox - ?199.99, C6051 Backing Plate - ?32.95, and the sausage filter is free, plus free delivery.

Hi,
Bedford Autodrome is notorious for kicking people out. They have been known to lower the noise limit during a day with no warning and no refund. We avoid it for that reason.
You will not have any problems at Rockingham, I guarantee. We've never had a hint of trouble at Donnington either. The only other circuit we had trouble with was Goodward and they told us to give the sound beacons a wide birth and lift off a little.

Bad luck mate. Its my local circuit - about 4 miles as the crow flies but I've never been:wtf:
I know of locals that make it their business to complain. Its always had problems I'm afraid.
I've wondered how good those airboxes actually are. I'll be interested to hear (albeit quietlylol ) how you get on!

As i will be Olly.... as discussed before!

The big airbox I made for mine took the bark out of the TB's.
I had the same happen to me Olly, it's as annoying as hell! Hence why my car now has the two intake options and all those silencers in the exhaust system.
As for the recording device. I have been looking at solid state recorders for a long while. What I will be getting (currently anyway) is the PDR100. It's a bit pricey but it is solid state and a damn fine unit as far as I can see. You can also get a small LCD screen for it for around ?46. It's an MPEG2 recorder so rendering the footage is simple.

no news in the airbox at the moment, but i'll be mounting it the same as Lee He****y as done on his red 1800.
provisionally booked on at rockingham... just need to do internal shifter, and get bigger exhaust middle box, and back box ideally

Confirmed booking at Rockingham Raceway now, for Sunday 2nd March... which is 2 weeks on Sunday... :) ?160, open pit all day if you book within the first 15 spaces, then it goes up to ?195.
Airbox setup will be on by then, and I will be taking some extra ideas to quiten exhaust down should I need to, but at Rockingham, you get a couple of chances to reduce your noise, which is better.
Tonight I bought the CD of photos from Bedford too (full res ones), so will post them up when I get them through, noticed from the drive, and the pics, that my suspension was set way too soft, but I didn't exactly have a chance to change it, with getting flagged on my second outting lol

Found a fix for my exhaust noise, I'm going to buy one of these "dB killer exhaust baffles" from eBay.
http://www.service-champions.co.uk/i...nrk_largel.jpg
Simple really, just slide in the end of your tailpipe into your back box, and nut and bolt on.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTORCYCLE-EXH...QQcmdZViewItem
The only problem I can forsee, is that the widest part of the above item is 48mm shoulder, and the internal diameter of my tailpipe is 52mm, so I'll need to weld on another thin skin to pack it out.
Hopefully that'll be and end to my noise problems :)
