You must be well happy and a bit gutted it didnt make 200 bhp at the flywheel. Would a pair of pulleys get you to 200bhp !?! ;)

I had a set of 2nd hand Willy Dynalites running Greenstuff pads on my old 2.0 8v Saloon, best brakes I've ever experienced.Quote:

I'm sure EBC changed their material a good few years ago to combat poor reputation, but TBH I can't fault them. Much better than the Mintex C1144 pads I ran on my old 2.0 GSi.
DS2500s have a very good rep. One of the boys does a lot of track work with his an Evo 6 and swears by DS3000s, but he did say they have ruined his wheels lol.
With Bedford trackday this Saturday, I decided to look at car briefly to do some bits that just needed finishing off before it seen the track again.
So I fitted the passenger footplate again, and refitted the doorbars on the rollcage. Helmets are in the net ready, as is the camcorder on its mount (however vision is slightly restricted by seat "ears")
Got my intercom setup in there too - so decided to go out for a blat, and the Ferrodo DS2500s have certainly bedded in now - so back now, all ready for early doors on Saturday... yay...
What times it finishe on sat. Might pop down and get some fottage of the day ?
It's 8:30am - 4:30pm if I remember correctly, but I think you can come and go as much as you please :)
Trackday wasn't really much to talk about, in short, I got black flagged 20 laps in due to being too noisy.
Static limit @ Bedford is 101dB, mine came in at 100.6dB @ 4.5krpm
Driveby limit was 87.5dB @ 20metres away, on my 20th lap, I got black flagged with 88dBs... damn thing.

In light of this, I need to quieten my car down at both induction and exhaust end, so today I bought this which will sort the induction out...
Details are:
New from Pipercross is the 600-series sealed airbox designed to fit all 600 baseplate applications and is ideal for vehicles where intake space is restricted.
http://www.pipercross.net/images/600_airbox.jpg
- Dramatically reduces intake temperatures
- Reduction in intake noise - ideal for trackday regulations
- 78mm depth, designed for space-critical applications
- Suitable for rampipes up to 45mm in height
- Available in left or right hand configurations
- Attaches to all existing PX600 Pipercross baseplates
- Replaceable foam Pipercross filter, with 75mm or 100mm alloy air intake
Now all thats left, is to get a new 3-box system made, or increase the sizes of my 2 boxes currently...
Half a bloody decibel over the limit, i would of been pissed off lol
oh i was, and with Bedford - no second chances, one black flag and it's home time... but then, i did know that before the day.
mate i went with who has a Cossie, got black flagged at 87.7dB :(
oh, and to pish me off moreso, the footage i did get is gobbled for some reason, old tape i presume, so might invest in a cheap HDD camcorder, to prevent that happening again
Not good.
Whats Donningtons limits?
You must be quite close to them now with the tb's etc fitted?
Those PX600 air box's are good, I'm looking at one for mine. Where'd you pick yours up from? Price?
Damn noise limits
