Its gonna be temporarily tied to the PAS pipe behind the MC. Though I will in time make a bracket to screw it to the bulkhead.
I'm really chuffed its working tbh. It was the main thing I wanted to achieve with this resto (aside from rust abolition)
Looks really nice Craig, what about the welding on the rack? did they give any clues about getting round the problem for the MOT?
Think I'll wrap some 'spira-wrap' over it & try a somewhat 'friendlier' MOT test station. A mate that MOT's at a VW dealership said he'd likely just request an engineers report for them.

It appears not, needing a feed. I wanted to mount the reservoir straight into the inlet ontop the pump body, but I struggled to find a reservoir bottle with a low enough height, so used some longer pipe to locate it nearby & it seems fine. I've got a wee fluid leak from the base of that pipe where it meets the pump as the pipe is a tad big, but I'll wrap a couple turns of PTFE tape on it & try that. The pump has its own reservoir anyway, so I guess the piping & my reservoir just allow it to purge.Quote:

would it not be easier using a elecy power steering collumn? no hoses ect aswell lol. craig ive seen some of the electric hydraulic P/S pumps have their resoviour which site literaly inches above the pump itself.
Yeah I was going to mount the reservoir above the pump, but space was tight & this way is no different tbh, other than the length of pipe holding that much more fluid.
I considered the EPAS setup, but tried the 'wet' setup for myself on another Nova & found a rally converted rack setup cheap, so went this route. It also meant I didnt need seperate quick rack.
I paid £38 for my rack (ebay), £20 pump (off a mate retail £200), £14 reservoir & £70 for the hoses. Pretty cheap IMO.
