fook me did realise it **** it self lol
all ways a piss off when it does, did it run lean or been running lean ??? iirc you put new mahla pistons in did you no ???
new build sounds good there is a 3076 for sale i have seen tonight lol lol
didnt know you broke it on the way home.Hope to see it back on the road asap.
thanks for comments it looks like it just ran too much ignition at the top end which heated up the combustion chamber and the piston couldnt cope with the heat, it had plenty of fuel
will be back soon
cool
What he doesnt mention is that we conveniently have a BTCC engine builder in our small village, who has taken the job on to make sure this wont happen again! :thumb:
even better result
shouldnt need a btcc builder to build it though really. sound more like a mapping error than a build error. this the one that went same place as nics?
may sound stupid but how did they map it? gradual or just up the revs, take an average and either richen or weaken it? just i know of a local ish rolling road that have a very silly way off mapping cars thats all.
you getting the omegas off steveboyslim?
So it doesnt need rebuilding then?? lolQuote:

The map was the first thing that was scrutinised, but it was fine - could be any number of things that caused it....
