^ I'm with Benn, sorry DJ
Phase 2 is proven reliable tho? Oh well, xe inlet is a good start!
Agreed, Phase 2 is perfect.
Needs the F28 fitted first though.
Doors looking good Benn, cant wait for painted pics :)
What's the performance increase when going from standard to phase ?
Most P2 sits between 250-280bhp depending on additional spec, quality of intercooler etc. You go from the standard 10psi to around 21psi overboost and man is it fun! Agree with Keith tho, best enjoyed on an F28. I used to love sitting at 80mph in 6th, on a runway, where its just about to hit boost, foot to the floor, overboost kicks in and before you know it you're 120mph+.
That's a fairly big increase. For the time being though I'd be mor than happy with standard power.
It's best to run standard power for a while, helps you sort out any niggles, then once your 100% happy fit Phase 2.:thumb:Quote:

If I ever find the need to go more power then Ph. 2 sounds a good way to go about it, especially as it's done widely and all that's really needed is a good FMIC and a adjustable fuel pressure regulator IIRC.
you 'll need an uprated fuel pump, a healthy turbo, the phase 2 chips, uprated fuel pressure regulator or larger injectors ( we run saab reds on the vectra turbo), uprated actuator, decent grade spark plugs gapped correctly, fmic to help keep the acts lowQuote:

Cool, but this'll deffo be a long term future upgrade. Certainly not in the near future. :thumb:
I might at some point fit ph2.Quote:

Hey benn, any pics of the brace polished, why didn't you do it yourself.
Nick mentioned something about the brace having fitting issues with the eccentric top mounts, are you runny them
Pics in a few, I didn't think when i mount my bench grinder, i put it to the far right. Which means i'm close to the shelving/wall. Which makes doing big stuff hard as i run out of room.
I run std top mounts, but would think they will clear.. As it sits down on top.
Soooooooooooooooooooooo I was sitting there thinking about everything matching and had an idea. When i say an idea, i mean i saw a golf and thought "ooo i like that"
So i got a few spares and popped off to the trimmers. Told him i wanted everything to match, what can back was this...
Std stuff, nice but could be a little more sexy. (The vent was left off as i knew it was comming off again)

Fit is very good, the martial is very close to my seats with of coarse white stitching.
Also picked my strut brace from the polishers, as it was a bit to long for me to do..

Nice trimmed interior! Very unique touch
Do you not have a grille on the RH speaker area tho? :(
Thank you Ste, there more getting done at the mo.. :)
Cheers Cle.
Iain, my boost gauge is in there, so its only put on for shows.
Looking great Benn, decent job on the trimming. What brace is that?
Damn benn, the brace looks awesome, runs off to find yellow pages for polisher. Great work on the trimming, you should sell them.
I do like the trimmed dash parts. Often thought of getting something like that done myself. Are you getting the centre console done the same?
when you getting the dash trimmed lol
brace looks well buddy !!!
Cheers dude, its a Fearless copy made by Mr browney.Quote:

Happy with the dash, i saw a Nova years back that was done and it looks poo didn't fit very well and such. So the main part can stay as it is...Quote:

Ah not seen that before. That's well done. Who's is it?
tis mine to go in the nova im building at the min, if they are done good they look good imo buddy !!!
Really? A copy made by the DJ himself. Browney want details dude.
How much did they charge for trimming them bits in leather? Since I've had the idea of cream leather in the Nova (and tbh I'm gonna run with it), I was wondering whether or not to trim the dash in dark brown leather, kinda like this mint Porsche interior

[Edit] That trimming looks good DJ.

Brown tho... No.
Really? You don't like?
Like I said the dash is in the thought process. The seats are gonna deffo get the leather treatment and so will the lining, for now :)
I don't like brown on anything really.. I'd go darker cream.
I read the Performance Vw mag alot.. They have alot of good ideas.
Maybe when I pop down to the trimmers, seeing a few leather solour swatches may bring up a few ideas. When the time comes.
