Think i'll take the adjusters off the back and see how it sits just on the springs!!!
Yeah mudflaps are a good idea, actually i think ive still got the ones off my old nova which are mk4 astra ones... lol
Still to do for when? Oulton park???Quote:

i,d put the mudflaps on it,ride height looks spot on to me,looks better a wee tad higher at the back imo:thumb:
forgot to say you look stoned to fek in that nova rr day in tv lol
FPMSL lol
I was hungover to fook mate!!!!
I remember LeeH commenting on a smell of booze lol lol
Ride height is spot on as is imo looks good.
Looks smart Ad, i like the ride hight also mate, good buy too, I do think the wheels need something more to make them blend to the tires less.
Oh as for the nova, get on it you soft head! even i just ordered two new tires and got them today, soon as i got home i was out down the garage, there on the car now! lol
Scott
I know yeah,im cutting it a bit fine.
A week and ive not even ordered any tyres yet!!!
Still need tax it and then see if it actually drives, hoping brakes etc aint seized on pmsl lol
I better get on it! lol
Bit of an update just before Oulton park on Saturday.
Picked up two new 195/45/15 Proxes off JohnH, cheers mate.
Got them fitted yesterday.
Also taxed the car yesterday, meaning i could take it out!
Brakes were binding quite badly and the clutch pedal was heavy as fook. Luckily the brakes cleaned up nicely and seem fine, and the clutch is better after it had a bit of use....
So i think im sorted for Oulton now bar checking oil/coolant levels etc :) :)
Ive got tomo off mate, so im doing final check then.Quote:

Im off work till next tuesday now mate, so should be in most of the day tbh. Whenever you want to come up??
Ive got a spare room/bed so you and paul can fight over it if you want.... lol
Whoever loses, the sofa is the best offer i have so yeah sleeping bag/pillows or whatever might be a good plan.
lol cool I'll call you tomo then mate.
Sound mate, yeah give us a call before you set off so i now what sort of time you will be getting here.
Right, after Oulton ive got some nova motivation back lol
Well pleased with how well it went round Oulton.
But ive got quite bored with the current look of it. :tard:
So have a few plans.
-Need some aftermarket management so i can get the tb's on that ive had up my loft for over a year. lol
Probably going to remove the firewall in the bay too.
-Gte/Sr front bumper, respray standard rear to match front
-Drop the rear because it looks gay atm, thinking of swapping back to a seperate spring/shock setup on the back....
-F/g Bonnet or lighten the standard one
-Sort out the Comp Mo's ive had for a year and half  Thinking body/gold colour for them.
-Swapping to an internal cavvy/astra shifter so i can get the exhaust fitting better.
Does anyone know how my side strips are held on btw? Clips or stuck? If they are stuck on they will be coming off too :thumb:
stuck on mate i would say they look the same as mine and scotts yellow one.
Mo's would look good anthrite Imo
keep skinny bumpers :)
Woo motivation, good man. I woudn't waste my time trying to lighten a standard bonnet again, it's still quite heavy tbh.
Side strips, pop off a doorcard and check you lazy bugger.
Skinny bumper is going, for now at least.
Good thinking Iain, will have to check next time im up there.
What internal shifter have you used btw??
Ive still got my mk3 astra that i can rape for bits, so i assume the shifter in that should work?
Ive got a pair of internal shifters here if you need one mate.
Following a msn convo with Lion, as long as the shifter rod is straight after its been cut/welded, it should work fine. So i'll take the one out the astra :)
side strips are stuck on, why you thinking of going back to telescopic's?
I want some shorter springs, but cant adjust my coilovers.
So might just get some low "normal" springs and use them instead.
That way means im not going having problems with the Mo's rubbing the coilover spring, as they are wider than my current wheels....
fair do's.
cool, sounds more track-focused plans.. i do like innocence of the std look it has, but i understand u might be getting bored of it now..
Engine management: you going cheapsquirt or designer label..? new??
Got my eye on some semi-designer management, 2nd hand ;)
Not megasquirt or anything like that.
liking the plans! get the bodies on there you wont look back
cool thats good. Well if u need anything to do with wiring/ecu's/bits u can do a lot worse than to contact Steve @ GWR Motorsport
Cheers :)
Just semi tub & turret the rear mate & move the shock mount in slightly
Why cant you drop the back if its coilovered?
The adjuster platforms have seized solid. So the only way to change the height is guesswork with £60 a time springs....... :(
Un-seize them, dip them in wd40/penetrating fluid then use a funk off big wrench to move them for wards and back wards till they free off.
Then coat the adjuster and threads in grease or copper slip...
No good? http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/index.p...stijfm3vh5p1v7
cut the old ones off
Side strips are clipped on mate, slide them off.
I can get new platforms from AVO for £8 each, but getting the old ones off without damaged the threads may be tricky
John, cheers mate. They will be staying then, cba messing about filling holes up.
but then hole-io'sQuote:

oh so theyre arent any holes , to fill..?
If you'll be running shorter springs it wont matter cause the new adjuster will be higher up.Quote:
