Good day then?
Annoyed that i couldn't make it :(
Rear window try to exit the car???? lol
was a good day nice to see you again mate the car was going well and sounded sweet out there:thumb:
the window was funny 2 laps in and he went past the pit and the window was gone, i did wonder why he did not stop and when he finished his session we all told him and he did not knowlol, and at dinner we heard the tanoy if "you have lost a window its at the marshal post" :D
lol, what is it with your car and the need for masses of gaffer tape?
more to the point, i drove by my window rubber on the track about 10 times, and every time i drove by it i thought "what crappy car has bits falling off, for gods sake"
little did i know it was my rear window rubber lol lol lol lol
didn't realise it'd came off the second lap, of about eleven that session lol
Hurry up fireworks getting soggy:roll:
lollollol At the window and not realising! Look forward to a full write up :D
Dude thats crazy.
Your a funking leg!
Great day all in all and even the weather didn't dampen any spirits! Loved it as usual olls!

Good to see you and the mrs anyway mate, need to get yourselves over to the ring again soon. My nova is off to live there again next year, give us a shout if you fancy a trip over.
Karl
Cheers Karl, I'll send you a PM shortly with some info :)
Was ace having all my mates there again... +1rep left to all those that came and enjoyed the day despite it being miserable weather! lol
Currently sorting videos out now, including my first ever solo run in the car, I managed to get sideways from top to bottom of the craner curves, hanging it out, steered back into it for the next corner lol
lol Can't believe the window came out, that's the funniest thing i read in ages, how did you not notice it was suddenly colder Ol? lol
Come on Olz!!
Im bored here, want report/vids lol lol
That's weird, I was timing him consistently running 1.48's :wtf:.......Quote:

Sir, you have a big pair lol
Another good day - quite the garage full in attendance, even with the weather - when do the new parts arrive Olz???
Karl you are certainly correct, just been looking through the Performance Box data, and my fastest lap from yesterday was indeed 1m 28, followed by several 1m30s.
Nothing ground breaking by any stretch of the imagination, but for the conditions it was - I'm confident I could smash my previous personal best when the weather is good, and I can remain on my 888s, or even Michelins!
Videos are currently being rendered & uploaded.
Those subscribed to my YouTube Channel will get an email as soon as it's finished, with a link to it :thumb:
Scott - with my race suit, helmet, intercom setup, no interior mirror, and a 8k revving engine, it's hard to notice the temperature in the car lol
Ad - i'll do a report when i think of something to type! lol
"it was great, lost a window, had a ball, vids below" sound good?Quote:

[Top Gear]Meanwhile[/Top Gear], been playing with the PBox software, and analysing my laps and speeds. I was pulling a G lateral on most corners which is good news considering it was wet, and not alot of traction.
So a session consisting of 7 laps including a warm up, and cool down looked like this on the data logger / gps
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc1199.jpg
Here are the main 5 fast'ish laps, you can see the consistancy throughout the corners & the speed
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc1200.jpg
My fastest lap of yesterday, 88secs as you can see on the X axis, and the Speed in MPH on the Y axis, shows that my top speed down Starkies is 114.5mph, which isn't particulary fast, in the dry we touch 128mph ish but I was obviously braking much much sooner for Goddards, than I usually would.
Interesting stuff, none the less :)

That perf box is some seriously cool ****
lap time's not bad either ;)
Certainly awesome piece of kit, I might actually buy one... big thanks to Lee whose lent me his for all this time :thumb:
I'm happy with those laptimes, considering it was at wet as it was... vids will certainly show
Videos have now been uploaded, I've upped the quality to 1.4kbps and viewable @ 760px, also with my new wide angle lens, you can see more of the cockpit, steering, shiftlights etc
Passenger: Steve Clay... CV explosion again
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=z99M4GwngFc
Passenger: Michelle Hewitt... fastest laps
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=d0ioBHkR06s
Passenger: None... Solo run... longest slide down Craners... EVAR lol

Looking at doing a redtop conversion my self and the information here was realy helpfull, Thanks and I look forward to reeading more !
Hiya GTI-6, thanks for signing up and saying hello - glad you enjoyed the read!
Full trackday report from yesterday is here:

Oh, and just noticed that on YouTube, they've now enabled the 'Watch this video in high quality', which makes a better viewing! :)
w000t, got hold of Xtreme again to get their photography set from the day, and I'm mega impressed considering just how miserable it was.
also even happier with the stance of my car on the silver tigra wheels and the 888s, considering I don't particulary like the look of the wheels
uber low low throughout the corners prior to my CV going bang...
here are some pics :)
Bottom of the Craners, hardly any lean on the car whatsoever
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc1202.jpg
Exitting Goddards Chicane, wheel up but still no lean
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc1203.jpg
Redgate is always a nice flat corner to hammer flat out - by far my new favourite pic of the car :D
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc1204.jpg
Same again after the motorsport tape was applied and it was raised a little... booo (on Rainsports too)
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc1205.jpg
b'jesus it's low! I think it look really good the Pentalines Olly, looks kinda cool with the battle scars too :)
Now thats super low, its a wonder youre not clipping your sump there lol
Looks ace bud especially on its ass on the pentalines:thumb:
Car looks propper BO!! especially on the 5 spokes!
You say that you popped a CV? Will be interesting to see how often this happens as I'm running the same height as you if not lower :p
Yeah, 'another one bites the dust' lol
Doesn't help the fact I'm still on my 1.2 shafts, and outer CVs, with 1.6 Cav inners
Maybe a big equal length shaft/ big hub/ big CV upgrade may be in order, however the equal lengthness won't aid my passenger side angle, it will only hinder and make the drivers side more agressive angle tbh
Great pics Olly, looks decent sitting low on the pentalines aswell!:thumb:
I feel such an amatuer - I just had to look up what Pentalines actually were as I didn't have a clue lol Didn't know they were wheels
I've always referred to them as "Tigra 5 Spokes" lol
I'm not down with all this styling malarky lol
lol...Are the battle scars staying, or is it something you've penciled in on your list of things to do?
love this thread
Yep the battle scars are certainly staying! Don't intend on doing anything about them really lol
