Your car is coming on leaps and bounds:thumb:
ive got a very tidy calypso red gte and its in my mind evry time i look at the car just to have the 20 xe in there make it a nice sleeper how much would it cost to have this kinda work done, very interested
cheers andy
christ...
Im sure CG will back me up on this... you just make it all look n seem soo easy dude...
Jealous pants still on, lol..
hrumph.
I know so so so easy by looking at this project build but i reckon if i attepted it (soon hopefully) would take me months and months and still wouldnt finish it but hey he knows what he's doin
Im lovin the sleeper
love this little beast :thumb:
been watching this build for a bit and just have to say well done mate and i am very Jealous as you have just ticked all the boxes on my wish list. it will be a very diffrant car from llandow earlyer this year
thanks everyone for the comments... it's nice to know its not just me enjoying the progress...
to be honest, i'm the kind of person that enjoys the build, more than the final product... actually, that might change once i've driven it again!
postman bought me more goodies today...
ARP rod bolts to withstand 8krpm lol, courtesey of Matt Lewis Racing via eBay
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0438.jpg
My wet tyres turned up
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0439.jpg
Which made me rush out and spray the other set of wheels in time for next Saturday
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0440.jpg
And finally, from postman brett, was fuel pump & filter holder from Prepfab
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0441.jpg
Marked out & drilled where I wanted it
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0442.jpg
Used new bolts and washers to secure it down, don't want this coming loose
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0443.jpg
Once in place, and "dry fitted" the pump and filter, I knew where I wanted the electrics to enter, so drilled a small 4mm hole and grommitted it
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0444.jpg
Live wire through
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0445.jpg
Repeat for earth, and don't forget to crimp the connections on AFTER they're through the gromit
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0446.jpg
Nice and neat, job jobbed... will be fitting my cossie pump and filter when the TBs go on, so alot of that is just temporary
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0447.jpg
Also bought 2x toggle switches and fused them for both pre pump facet and main engine pump
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...ure/nc0448.jpg
Thats it for now, gearbox removal and refitting tomorrow night
Looks a tidy job.
An alloy plate will do the job nicely.
i have an alloy one if you want...?Quote:

Them seat's are just like mine, but have that massive ott bit for your head to smash into lol

Im sure you can wipe a few smiles off of peoples faces.
Loving the sleeper mk1 look
well what a bugger that was!
took us about hour and half to remove the F20 with the Quaife Diff, but wasn't as simple as most people made out - but then again, tis the first time I've done a box removal with engine in situ.
I was told to just pull the pins from the linkage so I wouldn't have to set it back up again, and all other bits off, jack under both engine box and it will just slide off...
lol lol lol
ended up removing the rear mount completely, and seperating the linkage, seperating the manifold from the mid-section exhaust to get the long bar bolt from the TAS mount.
anyway - it was out, then Steve'o had to go, so I tried to put the new box back in alone... all i can say is lol lol lol no chance
spent about 2 hours trying tho, arms are killing now, and gearbox is still laying on the floor in the bay
so i gave it a coat of black paint seeing as i was packing up for the night, and left it
can hardly type my arms are killing from trying to lift the box onto the engine through the top of the bay lol
night!
