Whenever you want mate, are you going to Billing in the Red shed then or you not bothering at all?
Not bothering, hopefully looking at my electrical problem with some help from Damen on the Saturday.Quote:

Have you checked the earthpoints between the seats, which I believe are for the central locking and electric windows?
Even unplugged the electic window/central locking loom from the fuse box to rule that out completely. However the alarm is still wired into the window loom I suppose so may be causing a problem. I have relocated that earth to the bolt for the bottom of the dash as my electric window loom doesn't go under the seats anymore.Quote:

Yeah a day I'd rather not remember. Fitting my new helix clutch this weekend. Should be a fun job...... Not!
Good luck mate
lot of patients i think is the key here lee but am sure you will sort it dudeQuote:

Massive thanks goes to Rickardo and Andy017 for their help today, so lucky to have mates like that.
Clutch is now swapped for the Helix one, pedal seems much better, firmer and bites right near the floor. Couldn't really test drive it as the roads are wet and it would just spin rather than slip the clutch. F28 is a big, heavy, awkward *******!!
Doubt TV would feature it now they have featured Andy Bishops, too similar. Not really interested in a feature anyway to be fair.
Aye F28 is certainly not light lol
Love this car its just perfect
No problem mate. :thumb::thumb:
Anytime, you know that.
When I had to change the clutch on my nova we tried to get the f28 out with engine in place and it just kept fouling at the back near the lower arm mounting point. Was most frustrating! With a little twisting and swearing got there in the end and got very lucky lining it all back up again.
Any recent pics Lee? Not seen you in ages...
Recent pics in the North West rolling road thread Rick.
Really not impressed, been out in it tonight and clutch is still slipping even with the Helix coverplate on, what the **** could be wrong with it now?
Car got wet and filthy too so will probably be a pile of rust next time I can face opening the garage door on it.
Was there any sign of a fluid leak?
Faulty friction plate?
No fluid leaks at all. Friction plate has crossed my mind but thought once it was clamped tight by the cover plate that was it?
Hmm have you got any pics of it at all prior to refitting?
No, just got on with it to be honest. Everything was thoroughly cleaned and dried though. Cover plate was brand new still in sealed bag etc.
how badly is it slipping ???
slips when it first comes on boost for a second or so. Still running Amal valve so get the initial boost spike/overboost.Quote:

yes as the other one had only done 500 miles so friction plate was like new.Quote:
