?10 says by the end of the day I still don't have a running engine, in my engine bay, mounted properly lol
I wont take the bet on the fact it wont be running, as i very much doubt you have the correct hoses, and the tank and lines need installing.
BUT
Never say never lol
OMFG! The mighty shallooooon will finally have something other then Jack making engine noises in its bay then :D
I can't see it happening personally. It obvious:
mincer + mincer = fook all work getting done.
I'm gonna sit this one out as Lee blamed it on me last time it didn't go well. lol
And heres me thinking you was gonna be super glueing your block back together? :tard:
Me, Riggy, Ste & other Ste managed to get Riggys 1.6 engine out and out and to my house? That was 4 mincers aswell :DQuote:

Give me a shout if you need a hand as got nothing on tomorrow.
I think the blame lies with all the people that sold RJ the wrong parts lolQuote:

Someone told RJ a set of carb/spi fuel lines would be fine for an XE.... WRONG
Someone told RJ they were selling him a Nova GTe radiator and fan..... WRONG AGAIN
Someone painted up his tie bars at home, but upon removing the bolts and washers i left on them to keep them safe, he left them behind lol
The bolt that clamps the rod to the gear linkage was missing. Could we find a bolt to replace it? could we hell! Ended up drilling out the thread and fitting a bolt instead.
The fuel tank had the fecking anti-syphon ball rolling around in it. Got it out easy enough, but refitting the sender to a tank with an internal swirl pot is a pain in the rectum!
I also have an issue with the engine harness. Ive not got much experience with the standard setup on an XE due to always running carbs, then TB's. However, Im not stoopid, and the loom definately doesnt fit the engine, so probably got the wrong loom (ie, a fecking Dispack loom lol)

Theres no plug for the TPS anywhere on the loom lol

Other than that we got the engine in, the linkage hooked up and the tank in. All in all a mornings work under normal circumstances lol
The car is fecking jinxed!
GTE radiator my ****! lol
Nah, just the owner! lolQuote:

lol nice to know that i got something right, I will no doubt have a loom, sorry I mean the garage. I now work at loughborough uni lol so dont really have much to do with jnc during the week now. I do however have my turbo loom on ebay with only hours to end, wont fit but its there.
i want that plug cover.. give it me jack
Ive got a few people to try Phil, if you come across a suitable one, let us know, if not, no biggie :)
.. ah yes, and I almost forgot.
RJ was sold some 'courtanay 2.0 springs'
They were coilover springs lol lol
lee i have a loom but its for the 20xe not a c20xe.
let me know if interested:thumb:
Theres a difference between c20 and 20? Bar the obvious Lambda?

Btw Spi lines are fine, I use them on mine.
Cheers Ste!

Lol
Just fit some screw on unions to the pipes. Be reet.
That was the funniest one. Jack stood there with a standard shock in one hand and a coilover spring in the other lol It just wasn't going to happen was itlolQuote:

Fuel line split on the missus car, so i measured it up, checked what i had spare at home (SR parts) and hey presto lolQuote:
