well today alot of progress has been done, got round to remving the crappy side decal with a ?2 hair dryer from banardos, it gave up on me just after id finished and started sparking, just in time lol, then i fitted my new cd player, practically like the other one but this ones mp3 and it picks up radio stations with ease, then i set about primering my horn push in grey primer, and fitting it, finally the perfect one, then i fitted rear headrests about 20 mins ago, hope you all like, does look loads better without the vynal

also fixed my drivers side repeter, i cut the dam wires and the fell inside, so i had to extend the wire while the wing was half off, then attatch it, its all good now

getting more and more like an SR each time i see it -- good stuff
ye the bot will smartern it up alot i think, just that the rear wiper wont work, so ill just get a honda jazz or a toyota yaris one
its getting there slowly but surely matey looking good
just to let you know jazz wipers are 23quid new from honda

lol, i will do, the sr boot is on and looks ace, i managed to get new plates made up without the logbook as i cant find it, have a black border on them, and are on sticky pads, they looks ace

did u not have rubber mountings on the bootlid where they should be screwed on?? i did -- i didn't really want screws...
i prefer screws :S my back plate is held on with silicone :S
well, finally home and just in time to upload pics
well, froday started with the old boot coming off and the sri one going on, took abit of prising to come off, but then it finally came off, then i swapped the handle and lock round, but i couldnt find a 8mm spanner, doh! so i had to go out and buy a new socket set for 1 spanner. anyway it went on, and it looks bloody brilliant, by far one of the best things ive done to it by far, heres some pics
BOOTLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and then it started to misfire very badly, so a trip to the local auto part shop was in order, i got a rotary arm, points and a condenser for inside the dizzy cap, now it even goes quick in 2nd, and never misses a beat atall.
looks good -- u just need front window surrounds and some vinyl for between the windows :)
ye,. im thinking of spraying the bottom of the car grey, to look like a sr, but im unsure though
yeah i was gonna do that to mines as well -- so it covers up where Spin and that was..
Looking very sexy that lol ..
Looks cool, as said try and get some vynal on there, also get that exuast coming out straight, or at least horisontal!
anyone have any ideas on this
the nova is blowing blue, but on 45k miles from new, its abit unbelievable, any ideas?
havent checked ot since buying the engine parts etc
service it
plugs, leads, dizzy and arm etc and oil
Mileage is pretty much irrelevant.Quote:

Blue smoke is oil burning, piston rings, stem seals, head gasket.
mine's does the same. will keep her going til she blows up though. got plenty spare engines. ha ha.
oil is brand new, when i got it was on just ofer the min level, but ive run it for a while with it up to the max on oil, new rotar arm has been put in, only really smokes under hard acceleration
Has it had this problem since you've had the car, or has it only just started doing it? If its just driven around a yard all the time you're going to get problems...probably just needs a good blast out on the road though
well today after school i went down to the garage to work on the nova, went to the scrappy and got a passenger side heater blower pipe, and a set of red wing mirrors.
pipe went in noproblem, then i set about doing the mirrors
started at about 4pm, sanded them down with wet and dry paper and then gave them a once over with hot water,
then i primered when using grey plastic primer, just so the red doesnt bleed through the white.
anyway heres the pics of them up to now.
