NGK V-sparks? Never even seen those before??
Top thread Oli, just read it start to finish and my my, i though my nova was light (750kg) but yours is bloody rediculous!!
p.s. what rear brace was that originally?? Im looking to get rid of my Fearless one for a similiar shaped one that i can weld onto rear turrets
p.p.s any pics of underside or spare wheel well removal/plating up, i will be doing this soon, just wondered how you plated/braced it etc
Cheers for the comments!Quote:

I haven't got round to plating up the wheel well yet, still just a big hole atm, when I do I'll be sure to post piccies :thumb:
ooo lol good plan that lol my front strut brace was an Ex Corsa item, cut down and re-welded to fit a nova heheheheheehe got it of ebay for a bargain ?13 :DQuote:

Mike
just read from start to finish and its mint im buying another nova and 500kg is my goal post :D
also where did you get pollycarb windows from ??? how are they fixed in ???
Polycarb windows were from Airedale Race components. They're fixed in as normal for the rear 3, the fronts are held in with a couple of well place bolts in the inner door frame ;)Quote:

I'm more concerned with the windscreen misting up :(Quote:

P.S. going to the workshop in a minute, will start it up for the first time in months and get a little video of it growling
No videos today, cos I've lost my fuel pump :tard: :tard: :tard:
How the fcuk I've lost a fuel pump i don't know, I can only presume the workshop Rat has borrowed it :wtf:
get a heated screen
whats your engine spec oli ?? i know its probably in the thread somewhere but its 22 bloody pages long lol
Engine:Corsa GSI C16XE engine, SBD/Jenvey taper throttle bodies, MBE engine management, ITG Megaflow sausage air filter, Polished trumpets, Autosprint stg2 camshafts, Ported/polished/gasflowed/skimmed cylinder head with double valve springs, SBD vernier pulleys, SBD aluminium cambelt rollers, Re-bored/honed/skimmed block, Omega/SBD pistons, Lightened + balanced crank and rods, ARP bottom end bolts, Lightened + balanced Nova GSI flywheel, Adjustable fuel regulator, Bosch cream injectors, SBD coil pack, Mocal 10row oil cooler, SBD/BTB exhaust manifold, Powerflow 2.25? twin box exhaust, magnecore ignition leads, NGK BCP7EV plugs
:thumb:
any idea on power ? torque ???
169bhp @ 7467rpm
119lbft @ 6046rpm
It's massively held back by the mild camshafts, changing them means spending big bucks which would be better spent elsewhere though.
so 169 bhp and 660 kg thats 256 bhp per ton :O that thing would eat scoobies and evos for a mid mornin snack
It does ;)
reckon the figures are prob closer to 175bhp, now its loosened up and fitted with the new plugs and leads. Plus the weight is prob around 625kgs, so roughly 280bhp/tonne :D I would like to get it over the 300 marker
i think your aproaching enzo terotory soon lol
can u post up some pics of your handles mate. quit like to see what they look like cheers
Oli. Does your BTB manifold have the big 3 bolt flange at the end?
How have you mated this to your system?
Novaboyopr - this is the only pic I have at the moment
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...v/DSC00194.jpg
My manifold ends in a straight 2.5" pipe, no flange.Quote:

The work I have done is wire in a push-button starter (got rid of the ign barrel to save a few grams), wired up an FIA kill switch and pull cable (for safety), Mounted the headlights and bumper, bled the brakes, mounted the battery and removed the door handles so that I can machine a few more grams from them lol
And had a little play with my mates newly acquired toy  Will use it properly when the car is in one piece and set it up

Ohhhhh, love the fancy scales. I could do with a set of those. The car is looking mean. You need to get your ass in gear though me thinks:thumb:
Good work mate. cars looking well.
Wide wings dont look as bad as i thought they would tbh. Thought they may just kill the car. But looking at those pics they dont. Liking the front brake setup. possibly something i need to look into shortly as well. Moving is one thing. stopping can be entertaining.
The lights look weirdly cool would u beleive. Especially if the grill is done to suit of course. :P
Anyhow nice work mate. speak soon.
Now that the race car has gone to the nurburgring, I was able to get my car out and have a play today. My goodness I've missed it, the noise the bumps the bangs, its brilliant!

Gratuitous revving lol (only used about 6500rpm)
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...Video-0002.jpg
I bought approx twenty ponies from Broster today, 288deg Newman cams. This should bring me down below 13.5 on the quarter and deep into the 4's 0-60 :D
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...v/DSC00514.jpg
And some weight saving, of course. The drilled handles seemed a bit weighty, so i filed them out hehe.

How it stands now
