right.... This went straight through an mot..
but i then drove it down the road from mot centre, and within 2 mins of driving the driver side wheel bearing had collapsed :( so i set about getting a new bearing pressed in etc and then all seemed fine... drove 2 mins down the road and it collapsed again :(
very very pissed off with it at this point, i stripped all the 5 stud gear off and is now sold lol...
I set about some new wheels and got offered these from a mate:

all good, i was thinking satin black with a yellow lip... but 7j and et 24 = :(
they fitted on fine, but the wheel would hit the rear arch if i was to go over any bumps lol
i now aquired a set of cav slabs through hobbit, cheers fella :)
not my ideal choice of wheel but gets the car moving :s
Does anyone know of or heard of people machining the rear inside of the wheel to reduce the offset? there is plenty of meat there, im just unsure if it can be done. them bbs wheels look cool with stretched tyres on lol
With the wheel bearings.
When you pressed them in, did you back press the outer race?
AKA, the 2 inner races are touching?
Was the 5 stud setup machined perfectly?
And seriously, how did it pass an mot with a bearing that bad lol
yeh bearings were fitted by the garage...
when they fitted them, the wheel all clamped together fine and spun etc as should. as soon as i drove it, they killed themselves :(
i got the 5 stud setup machined to match my 4 stud hubs... the 4 stud fit and work fine though lol
very strange
did you not manage to sort the Expression wheels of Si ?
Yeah, I had this, but, you have to push the 2 inner races together from the back after pressing.Quote:

What you guys think?
I like it, but i have since it was built. Not feeling the orange rims tho, black will look much better.
love it BUT i have to agree with Benn 100% big no on the Orange rims!!!!!!!!!!!!
have to be Black, gunmetal, yellow or silver for me
lol
i just havent had chance to paint them yet. they were that orange when i got them :(
will do it over the next few days, southie if your reading this?? a PS of the wheels in silver and one in black would be super ace xx
looks good mate :thumb:
you driving it much?
not really yet mate, been bit busy. hopefully go out in next few days and get some proper pictures of her.
wasnt happy driving with it mix match wheels last week lol
hello mate glad you have decided to keep it then, not to keen on the orange colour of the wheels, you keeping them like that or painting them another
Tony he's sprayed the wheels (quickly) lol Now looks like this:

lol
the orange paint was all cracked where it hadnt been prepped properly. and i didnt want them to stay that colour as they looked pants. so i found a can of stonechip in the garage and set to work.
went right over the orange lol
will do until i get the blasted and painted, or if i sell them for some comps etc
undecided at the minute, just want to get some use out of her for now though :)
Anyone want to buy the carbon bonnet?
I'd love the bonnet, how many photoshop's worth is it? lol
