I should be starting on the shell to clean up the welds and then start painting the inside of the shell and the engine bay then the rebuild will begin.
First of thanks to Lee (Dars bro) for some spot on work.
What do you all think.
do a big burn out max power style :thumb: and then put some man size wheels on :DQuote:

Looks spot on. I like the retention of the spare wheel fixing.
Wow Chris :thumb: very nice!
I too love the spare wheel fastening :thumb: I presume battery will be going NSR corner?
Suprised you didn't do the internal shifter mod whilst he had the welder out :thumb:
That because it is still going to on the road for road tests and it will make it much easyer to carry a spare wheel and jack just incase.
It would be left out for track days as the wheels will be in the veccy.
Ive got Dars old system which is still spot on so had no reason to change to the internal setup.
Im sure Lee would do it at a later date if i change my mind.
does look good and that red paint is a mare to cover in white
is it the same cage as the old stick or have you taken the bar out from the b-piller
wicked mate, its looking good, altho i want more pics lol
Top work there. Looking forward to some progress on it :)
I think he must of slept outside in a grow bag tho lol.Quote:

Tiss the same cage but Lee had to remove the bar to get the cage in and couldnt get it to meet back up once the shell had been welded so asked me if it was ok to leave it out.Quote:

One thing, i take it your going for standard seats/subframes then,as Lee's welded the floor pan strengthener in, just thought you might gone buckets?

We will be back down there tomorrow to finish off the interea and put the second coat on the engine bay.
Bay looks good. Bright white insides too?
What paint are you using? Just white brush-on Hammerite???
yep i will have to wear sunglasses lol.
It looks a bit messy in the bay but most bits that have paint on them eg bottom arms/rack things like that are being changed over so not worryed about getting paint on them.
