Good work there Jimlad, i know exactly how much of a ballache novadose skirts are to get off. We never managed to get a good enough finish so the blue shell had to have GSi skirts to cover it up lol.
If your planning on selling the white speedlines, let me know pal, as i may be making the SR black, and i fell in love with yours on those wheels :)

Did a bit more work to the car last night.
Decided to remove the firewall in the engine bay. I didn't just cut enough space out for air flow to the carbs either, I decided to remove the whole lot. It was a bit of a mission, but with some persistance we managed to get it all out :clap:

My mate attacked the sealent along the inner wings, only to discover quite a few patches of rust :( It looks like it's going to take a bit more work than first thought to repair it all. Still, the key is in the preperation so I'm not getting disheartened and will get it all repaired.
Thats all for now folks. If I'm allowed I might do some more at the weekend.
ive always thought novas look better without the firewall.

Nice work.
Suprising how its started to rust on the inner wings. You wouldn't expect that on a track/occasional use car.
Its had 17 years to rust through. The last time it was at the bodyshop the guy didn't treat it and just put sealent over it instead :roll:Quote:
