Gary, cheers for the comment. i love welding them, especially stitch welding etc like this one..sport has been a bit of a task but love doing it..
Your mate text me the other day, but i accidently deleted his text so lost his number.. can you tell him to text me again and yes i have both f13 and f10 gearboxes down here..
Eventually got the nova on the road! what an animal for a 1600!! I now see what everyone was going on about and same with how much fuel it drinks! it is sooooo much fun though. the noise is unbelievable for a 8v! between 3k and 4k it grunts like a throttle bodied c20xe!lol i love it!

Greg
You the man, that looks awesome now!
I'm still waiting on how good the noise should be on mine!
get that brace on or u will have the welder out again to straight up the front end lol
SRimon, you will love it! lol
my 1400 8v sounded well but this is a completly different kettle of fish.
stevie, i am going to paint brace again, made an **** of it.. lol
Looks good buddy, the 1600 definatly has a different induction noise on 40s compared to the 1300/1400, makes me want to get mine finished and on the road!
fantastic to hear my old engine is still going strong, and yes it did always sound 'different' even to some other 1600's. Only thing i can see is to get a 4-1 manifold and release its full potential as the current one will be choking the engine :d
Also fuel economy. In its birth place it used to average 30-35mpg with mixed driving. on track it would drop to maybe a lowest of 20mpg which was still quite good. Only difference is the engine has changed minorly and obviously how i had the car setup and my little anal choices with certain things. It kept that even when used as an everyday car for 3 years between tune ups!! upon which it hadnt lost any tune as such. how many of you guys actually had a full rolling road setup which should imo be done after the engine had been in and out of cars etc. The tune of the engine was one thing i always obsessed about and was never happy until it was perfect
Thats why my car was always joked to be run on pixie dust etc etc lol
Looks alright mate :) You need to get up with it
vaughan i was tempted to come upto the the track day, if i had known earlier this morning i would of been up..
i will be up one night through the week..
going to get my 4 branch on then get it away to JDM dyno to see what its producing and let Jonathon set it up..
Certainly feels quick, already had a play with a 1series bmw and raped a golf gt tdi!
