lol it actually ain't the exhaust rubbers it was the solid rear mount lol
I did think at the time I never noticed anything in mine with them, but it vibrated/rattled anyway so I probably wouldn't lol
Anyway, rallydesign exhaust bushes, very good lol Come in yellow too! :d
Firstly no pics at all
Secondly, FOOKING PISSED OFF WITH THE SCRAP PILE   lol
It's very nearly ready for a MOT but more problems keep arising :(
Pristine Wheels who refurbished the alloys blasted the powdercoating on and it's covered the brass bits that the wheel bolts sit on to, so only about 1mm of the taper on the bolt touches, so I'll have to Dremel all the powdercoat out of the 16 holes ffs
On a good note I've re fitted the front wings and I'm now confident that the fronts won't catch
Also dropped another beam, but standard, down the powdercoaters, will fit that when it's back and run it with washers on the two lower stub axle bolts to make the rears not catch the arch, wish I'd thought of that in the first place tbh
Finally the thing that's pissed me off is the rust spot that coming through in the centre of the roof
I swear it's only come through in the last few months as I polished the roof 6/7 months ago
It's was noticed by me then friend who painting the arch and front spoiler says it looks like some sort of contamination in the primer/e coat
So this statement of SPL is spot on
The rust spot is about the size of a 10p coin, would post a pic but it didnt come out well, will take another later.Quote:

Soooo,
part of me wants to just leave it all till next year as it's pissed me right off :(
or could persevere with the other problems and get the roof spotted in ?
Then get the roof done over the winter ?
But I did want it pretty much perfect for when it's on the road ?
Plus I'm tighter on cash than when I started build it :(
Not sure what to do with it now tbh
:(:(:(:(

Just get the roof spotted ATM and stick with it, the paint will hardly be faded as the cars never been used lol,
Hopefully it'll give you a break soon, or you might end up " doing a merris " lollollol
I was thinking about this when I have had an issue with rubbing my arches, have you considered machining the face of the rear drum which the wheels mount to, it has a lip and is slightly thicker where the wheel mounts to it, you could remove some material from there. Even if you can only get 1 maybe 2mm removed, it all adds up. I am considereding machining a set of drums down a mm or two on mine.
Ignore the roof, get the rest of done, the roof can be done last thing.
I have been thinking about taking sone of the drum as well Paul, I will look into that for sure at a later date, washers cost less and that's important ATM lolQuote:
