My XE nova on throttle bodies (Project 275+bhp)

Good result - very similar to my figure - but whats the torque fig? Thats the important one! lol

Cheers mate. Very big lol seriously though I'm not sure steve sorted that out when I get the engine back I'll put the final spec up. But they are piper cams and they were the biggest cams before having no tickover :eek:

I'm not too sure as steve seemed tired yesterday :( but he has all the printouts and there are some bids and pics of it in the testing room so I'll have the full sp then. But tbf iirc all the guys that were there all agreed it was a good strong engine I'm not worried :thumb:

It has 180lb/ft from 5k going up to 190lb/ft at 6-6.5k before it drops off iirc

Cheers scott should be good once it gets past that 250 Mark. I also found out it made just under 192 ftlb of torque

Seriously - dont bother chasing figures. You could take it any RR and get 260+ lol It really doesnt mean a lot.

That - plus once you bolt on all your ancilleries etc, the power will drop - its always a bit higher on the dyno!

Cheers will. But what ancillieries? I was under the impression the engine dyno was the true way for getting a power figure.
I know what you mean about the figures but if you check out vauxsport steve has put up what he thinks and considering even Neil roper had said he thinks its a good 250 bhp+ engine im optimistic

Update time. Managed to get the seat rails finished in the front and just need to tidy up with seam sealer and paint them in the morning. Started re doing thr fr gearbox engine mount back to accept the F20. also Started to the rear brake lines to a t-piece to run the single line throught the car ill get the pics taken tomorrow and upload later.
