Is that still run as much as you like tho?
Yeah
Shame your thinking of breaking Ad, but i can completely see where you're coming from, women are expensive lol.
True, but at least they dont leak oil lol
You're doin' it wrong :tard: lolQuote:

Pussy! Mine was leaking like that at Billing lol
My novas first trip out was to work, as there was no buses at the time i agreed to work, and i drove it with oil smoking off the manifold and a bottle behind the drivers seat to top it up at the end lol
lol lolQuote:

ChrisGsi has just told me tomorrows weather aint looking good anyways and i cant make Sunday due to ****e work
Shame about the leak, you can get the threaded bit you need from vauxhall btw.
Bad news if its the crank oil seals tho, whatever end it is its not easy :(
The worst area i can see is the timing belt end, so if its a crank seal its that one. The back of the fly looks completely dry.
Going get the drivers wheel off tomorrow and have a closer look.
Fitting the thread bit in the oil filter is a 5min job as very easy.
Thats what i was thinking benn, get it done adam and get to that drag strip lol
Might take a trip up vaux tomorrow then to order one.
Or is a small block 8v one the same?????
Aw-I aint going Shakey now, few others are going on Sunday which i cant make, and its give to** weather for tomorrow :(
I know its an 8v but cant remember anything else about it... I got my years ago.
Is it not the same as a smallblock? Theres a partnumber on here somwhere, even a few threads about it, your net up to searching adam? Or is your net too limited?
The nova is back in my good books :thumb:  lol
Yay!
Stopped leaking/B road run? lol
Changed the sandwich plate gasket, and the oil filter.
And its still leaking, just its not dripping on the floor now, just the sump is a bit damp, no real problem as long as it doesnt get any worse.
And yes, good ole' B road run, with a mates VTS, good times
Gave the car a good seeing to, apparently exhaust was banging/popping like fook on gear changes too lol
Theres nothing like waking the countryside up ;)
Still breaking it then?!
Err,we'll see.
Still going hate see it sittng for months through winter tbh!!!! :(
You up for a drive to the RR day next weekend ??
i will be, ill be going past your area about 7am :thumb:Quote:

Don't have things planned that you'd always wanted to do with the car but haven't had chance to while it's in use? Not sure what it's like for you as you can always go without it for x amount of days but theres loads of stuff I wish I could do to my daily that I just don't have the time for.Quote:

But its just money that i would prefer to spend on other things atm lol
Ive got the nova to pretty much where i wanted it, it can do road/track/quarter's and so far as been reliable as fook..., can start it up from cold after sitting for a month and it idles perfectly etc
The reliability is something i think id lose if i fitted bodies etc...... Being a std engine means when it goes bang its only going to be cheap to fix too.....
Baxter, Tina's nova is a 1.6 8v iirc. In no rush anyway, when i say tootle, i mean tootle lol
Doesn't have to be endless funds stuff though, I have a new shell coming to replace mine (next sat all going well :)) and that will be getting a tidied up inside painted all the same colour properly (carefully rattle canned I mean lol) and also all the underneath/suspension etc cleaned up/painted. Just time consuming stuff rather than expensive. I dunno how that would relate to yours as above is mostly fart assing about making it look good rather than performance based... custom/lightweight dash maybe?
Could do with another bonnet or bonnet respray as the laquer is peeling in places.
Was looking at f/g bonnets earlier, but would probably just matt black rattle can it
Not sure if it will look ok though, i still want the car looking tidy.
Ive also got a spare set of early bumpers, but they are white so need spraying. Hurricane grey may be making a return, but i would also need to do the side strips....
Also just remembered ive still got the flat Mo's in my old bedroom, could get on with actually refurbing them i suppose lol lol
i wont be, 20psi all the way :thumb:Quote:
