Got the week off work this week so looking to put some hours in on the nova. Done about 4 hours yesterday and similar today. Got the boring job done first and scraped off all the underseal from the arches then got them in primer. Its nasty stuff to remove. I went with the method off heating it up, using the scraper, then wire wheel the residue.
Tomorrow I'm in the engine bay getting the bulkhead smooth, finishing some welding and get that into primer.

Done another 3-4 hours this morning and I'm pleased with the progress!
Started by drilling out the spot welds and putting in some holes in the top edge then cut it all out...

CAD then got under way but then the job was halted because my grinder is funked  so will get a new one in the morning...

So I then went on and decided to weld up the last of the seams in the engine bay. I started at the bottom and it didn't look too great so I turned up the heat and down with the wire speed and got some better runs along the top...

So I turned up the wire speed a touch and went over to the otherside and to say I'm chuffed is an understatement! So I then went back and grinded the other side back and re-done it...

Feeling I was on a bit of a spree I went and re-done the harness mount plate inside the car. Its an improvement but not ace. Despite giving it a really good clean up it still spat badly and blew through so easily. However, its certainly not going anywhere...

I then welded the brake servo plate in (was only tacked before). I found I struggled here when I couldn't get a very good angle to be able to see the weld so was very much "guessing"...
