yes mate still local, just down the road from our last place.
Sounds good, shame Donington's gone, was looking forward to driving that, and what with it being on our doorstep! oh well!

you will struggle mate tbh with the current facet location the pump is metres away from the tank
Ive seen plenty of those pumps mounted in the engine bay without problems.
But yeah they do work best mounted right by the tank
Looking well Ian
I nearly fell off my chair lol :pQuote:

Well I thought it was about time to bump my thread for a few bits and bobs I've done and acquired.
First off I sent my Mk2 Cav Dizzy setup off to H&H and had it Recon'd with the vacuum unit removed and the advance curve modified for the XE engine.
H&H Dizzy

Striiped my bias box down and cleaned / repainted
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0136.jpg
Also made a start on my dash pannels, I got this switch pannel from the autosport show, but wanted to put the switches on my own custom pannel as below.

I'm going to use the top sections of a mk2 dash. I've cut out the air vents and clock sections.

This will then be panneled in with some carbon fibre. Got this from the 'carbon mods' website. (www.carbonmods.co.uk) Top notch service. Arrived the next day!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0135.jpg
Made up some templates for the dash and transfered onto the carbon, and cut out with a jr hacksaw
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0184.jpg
Then filed the edges up and made it fit nicely
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0187.jpg
Then fitted the switches from old pannel
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0190.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0188.jpg
Also modified the dials binnacle to fit some more carbon fibre
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0182.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0191.jpg
Back to the bias box, got it all built back up and cut some rally mudflap material to cover the hole in the firewall and minimise any water getting in
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/IMG_0217.jpg
Also decided to cut out the slam pannel
