Its a bolt on/screw on cap thing mith a metal rod on with a float on the end.
Which tank do you have Olly as some tanks have the pump feed on the sender.
I'll have a look for it :)
Cheers lads - before you start looking Vaughan, I think it maybe wiring related, as it worked prior to me putting my bike clocks in, and then removing them!

Check the black/blue wire on the clocks and the earth. And the connections at the sender end.Quote:

Basically I had 2x blue/black wires on my clock loom, but only 1 on my car side - thinking about it, I bought the clocks from Bax, that came out of a derv - would that make any difference?
Anyway - no dramas now, done about 120miles now, since filling up, and still have just over half a tank
