looking good matey:thumb:
Cheers
Just had first drive in it for a while
NEver noticed till just that when bolting the cage down its made the drivers side sit closer to the door than the passenger side does. So when cornering etc (when the shell flexes) the drivers top door bar taps on the door seal slightly :( :(
Minor problem though, just one of those annoying niggly things that i'll probably just live with. You cant hear it over the engine/exhaust noise anyway lol lol Just when cruising/driving at 30-40mph....
Not much i can do about it anyways.....
that not happen when u weld one in..?
Weld it to the shell.
taged to shell FTW
Tagging it to the windscreen pillar would stop if tapping the door seal, but thats a screen out jobbie!!!!!
I was going to "mod" the door seal and remove the inner grey plastic bit on the top of the door frame, but think it'll piss water in then.....
Easy fix. Stop cruisin at 30-40mph and if you get pulled just explain why to the copper.
PMSL yeh, thatd work? lolQuote:

Bit of a picture-less update.
Ive now removed the lips from the front wings with the help of a grinder, plenty of clearance now!!
Also fitted a passenger footrest, nice easy job, just drilled 4 hours and bolted it through the floor.
I just now need to sort the exhaust, the middle hanger is knackered and the system taps on the transmission tunnel!!! Will tap like fook when on track so it needs sorting this week.
Tempted just bin it and go to a local Powerflow dealer.....
Apart from that, im sorted for Combe
will be good to see you at combe
I love the retroness of it still
If everything stays held together and nothing blows up it should go well at Combe IMO :d
One worry is the gearbox is a bit whiney on over-run in 3rd and 4th, sounds cool but it aint a good noise from a standard cluster box!!! lol lol
Might be worth just changing the oil before you go ad!Quote:

Aye, could be a good plan.
Actually i think the box is leaking oil from somewhere as i noticed the rear mount looked damp, might be worth looking into, but you can usually smell gearbox oil if its leaking everywhere.
yeah for the cost of some oil it might stave off the inevitable for a while longer. I hate the smell of g/box oil, make me wanna vom!
cat's pish FTW
bah thats just engine oil flying out the back of the sump lolQuote:

Thats probably why then!!!!! Will see if i can find where its leaking from ,if it is actually leaking that is....
Ive had that problem too when the sump bolts undid themselves  lollolQuote:

Door remained locked though so me thinks they f**ked off half way through, disturbed by something/one as they left every other car parked by mine.
I guess they were after my twin 15" subs, 4 amps and wikidy bo Ice install.
If they liked the look of the rubber floor mat that much alls they needed do was ask FFS
Wan*ers!
WTF! Dam twocers, i say get a big dog FTW mate.
Sharpened door edges ftw? Is utter balls when some little scrote buggers up all your hard work like that.
Could of been worse tbh.
Not a load of damage, apart from around the lock, and a few gauges/scrapes in the b-pillar/door frame. THe marks in the pillar are quite bad though as they are down to the primer/bare metal
Serious **** heads! Grr if i caught some one doing it I would end up in prison my self..
'all your hard work' was probably a bit ott on the phrasing by me lol Still something you need to sort because some waste of space was bored though
Aye, it really fcuked me off as i got the phonecall at work too, so was in work all day pissed off.Quote:

Thats a bummer that ad sorry to hear bout that mate.
unlucky mate :( can it be bent back or have they funked it?
sorry to hear this Adam:mad:
****ing cunts:mad:
They need hanging up, sorry to hear about it. Guessing its not even going be an easy colour to match the paint either :(
Rich, can touch up the marks where the crowbar//screwdriver has been, obviously wont look good tho
GSi Jimbo, i heated the door frame up and bent it back, luckily it hasnt even cracked the paint on the inside of the door. You can only tell by the marks on the pillar/door frame
****ing hell mate, proper gutted for you..
on the bright side, least you still got the car, and they didn't do alot more damage too it
