I'm not suprised one that the lifters sorted themselves out after a few blats, I am however suprised that then even started to play up lol You live and learn. I've only seen it when engines sit for ages, not a few hours.
IIRC Ads was around 240-250 psi but its not exactly standard c/r.
Oh and just to add, your wiring is cack LOL I was having a right giggle at the excuses rolling off your tongue ;)

It will go fine, I'm not sure my ears will cope with the drive down there so I'll be bringing my ear plugs or ipod LOL

Just fill it till the pump clicks off :) Then do 150/200 miles and refill again.
Senders are rare as fook, doubt you'll find one for friday. Checked the wiring?
