Benn , regarding the lock stops, I got ones made out of nylon bigger than the one fitted as standard, I attach a picture if it workshttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...8dce099b15.jpg

Harry Hockley sell them too.
Ah i see, thats a easy way. I might look in to some.
Finished putting the car back together over the weekend and tonight. Thanks to Dan for helping me again.
Rack seems much better. When i put it all back together this time i did what the book says. Do the preload nut up tight, then undo 30 deg. Its much tighter than i had it. But when i did it, i wasnt thinking that the steering well gives more force than my hand turning the pinon.
Only took it down the road and back, but feels much better.
Moved the fittings on the oil pump, so they point down more that move the lines kinda under the chassis leg a bit more. But im not finished with them yet..
Mmm a nut that can't be done up too tight or too loose ~ Rack designers must be trolls
Is very odd, to lose and the rack can move and the pinon can be popped out. To tight the rack cant be turned.... WHY?!
With the car finally steering right i took it for a bit of a drive to day, after washing it yesterday.
