Is that your pump mounted in the bay ?
Years ago I had a similar setup and nothing but bother with it, when I sold the car I moved the pump to the back of he car and it was then fine.
-
Also just a thought, could you fit 2 remote resevoirs thus agiving you more room ?
I've not thought of doing it that way before but I can't see why that wouldn't work
-
jonlem, possibly cos the pumps are designed to push fuel not pull it.....
martin, best be is either fork out 250 from alfaholics or get some short ones and modify/make em out of 90 deg bend alloy. btw you do know the rampipe length affects the power? :)
-
or an escort mk2 servo extension bar? and move it forward like the let kadett posted in general yesterday?
-
woah woah woah
rob, yeh i know the length affects the engine etc.
and as for brakes, i was looking at the bias pedal boxes you can buy which have their own master cylinders and then i can remote the fluid holder things lol.
i need to take my fluid thingy off and have a look see if i can tap in some unions so i can remote them, or if i buy short trumpets, problem solved lol

Yeah first OR main pump for fuel should be as close to the tank as possible, you could always mount another with a swirl pot set up up front, or just pump/filter set up etc into the rail, as for the trumpet clearance, i would either move the location of the reservoirs (as already said) or you could get a inlet manifold that comes off the head diagonally like with the SBD TB kit??
Nice to see progress though.

as for a swirl pot, this can be used instead:
