Loving your work look, everything looking good. Nice welding too.
But this photo.
The seams at the left, chassis leg to bulk head and down on to the leg,(that seem takes alot of stress) you really want that welded up. THat's a weak point in my eyes, that's the only seem i've seen spilt.

Gauges look nice, have you a fuel gauge to match then?
EDIT: just noticed the earlier post, which has a digital reading in the rev counter ;)
Thanks for the comments
Craig, I don't know where my brain is at, you're right it does!! I'll use a red light for low oil pressure though as it's easier to spot than the green "N", everything else can be in the rev counter.
Benn, I'll have those welded this evening for you!!!
Iain, there's a slim chance it'll be on track this year!! Might get it finished in time to start winter re-build 2016!!!!
Southie, the fuel gauge is in rev counter, was going to add a separate fuel gauge but think I'll stick with the built in one.
I lied, haven't welded them yet but I will!! I'm also not sure I'd describe it as awesome mate, Iain thinks it's shit and I agree!!
So today I got home at 4pm and thought, hmmmmm drop the rear brake lines out. Up she went on stands inside the garage (tight like a tiger), started dropping the rear lines, then thought, how easy is that beam to get off........ too easy, 10 minutes later beam off.
Doesn't look too bad, bit flakey.

I knew it was starting to go and expected once I attacked with the wire brush I'd find holes and proper rot, I wasn't expecting this......

Totally surprised, it's solid, cleaned up really well, little bits of surface but nothing flakey, certainly no holes or major rust round the suspension mounts, it had just started lifting the underseal, I reckon I caught it just in time, another winter or two and it would have been too far gone. All the suspension mounts are solid and really good, so happy I can't put it into words!!!
After a bit more cleaning and wire brushing, brake cleanered everything, air lined it dry, left it for 10 minutes to completely evaporate and then boom....

I used Wurth Schultz cos I managed to get 3 big cans on an invoice for one of the companies I do some work for as parts!! so effectively it was free!!
Got some Dinitrol to spray up inside all the chassis legs and every nook and cranny once the under-sealing is done,
I'm really happy with it and can't wait to get onto the rest of the underside up to the engine bay, now I need to re-furb the beam, although I'm tempted to throw the existing one back in, get it running and then steal the one Iain has and re-furb that and then throw it on at some point, need to get this back on the road and drive it!!!
Did you spray anything on the bare metal like etch primer before the Schultz?
No is the short answer!!!
It didn't say on the can to etch prime any bare metal, it just said remove and loose rust and ensure it was clean and free from dirt????
I'm sure I'll enjoy re-doing it all again in a years time!!!!
Who welded in the rear beam mount gussets? Were they there before you got the car? Have you noticed them?
