That would be spot on matey thanks!
Any standard UK spec consumer unit should be able to cope with a 100+ Amp device? Ive never had nay issues with breakers going out when using mine?Quote:

whats stronger.
4mm plate or 2x2mm double skinned?
Depends which way you load/hit it I'd say, in the case of those turret tops you're gonna get a little more flex with 2x2mm, which means it'll hold up to a higher load for short lengths of time generally (you can probably stand on a riot shield and not be filled with confidence, but the way it flexes means bricks don't go straight through it) but if you loaded it up on a stress tester you'd probably get a lower break point compared to 4mm.
I'd say the 2x2 is more likely to bend/deform under use, but less likely to fail, unless the welds go from the flexing of the material around them, but they're probably stronger than the material itself lol
Here are some pics:

On second look the top plates welded in are twice the thickness of the first plate welded in to the top.
As said its a toss up depending on how you look at it....Quote:

I started out cleaning up the N/S turret ready to be made a permanent fixture of the shell
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1082.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1083.jpg
Then went on and cleaned off the funking under seal around the turret hole what a c u n t of a job that is

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1087.jpg
I cut the turret to size and fitted it up for the first time - some alterations to the hole were needed...
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1088.jpg
Then after even more fettling (at least a hour!) i finally tacked the turret in
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1091.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1092.jpg
And welded it home for good - drop the bomb!

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1107.jpg
While i was waiting for the poor welded to cool off i decided i would make up the strengthening plates for the other turrets in the same way as before
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1093.jpg
Then i cleaned up the inside of the first turret on the O/S ready for the plates
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1094.jpg
Primed, fitted and tacked the plated in to position
