Looking good Iain, where did you get the cage from in the end? I know you've been after one for a while... Bet it feels so much better. hey
Is that a quickrack, or just a new standard rack??
Looking good anyway, glad to see it coming on
It was just a new standard rack, comes all nicely painted from the motor factors although most of that came off when fitting it. lol
Cage was advertised by a user on here, picked it up last week and got it in on Sunday! Well chuffed with it.

nice work Iain, it's looking really good these days...
so much has changed since i last read this thread
Looking good dude, but myself and other people demand you post up the pic of what you did to my welding shroud:tard:
just read all 19 pages, and this car has given me so much inspiration
Thanks man,
keep it up :)
Looking good dude, any updates? :thumb:
Hes fitted some AeroCatches to the bonnet :p
Lmfao!
i love this, how much does it owe ya if ya dont mind me asking?
Hope he saw sense with the aero locations... lol
Rob it won't owe him much, he goes to scrappies for his bits. Sorry 'salvage yards' lol
Update this you noncing prick :( Good to see her coming on.
I think it owes me about £3k, including some money wasted on bad decisions (meh, first project, you do some things wrong...). I buy most parts for it new thankyou very much Liam lol
Here's what I've been up to
DIY bodge solid engine mounts as my old ones felt a bit loose, these tightened it up nicely
Before

After
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/137.JPG
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/138.JPG
Some harness pads since my shoulders ached after driving it for 2 days straight:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/139.JPG
And a new extinguisher in a reachable position:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/140.JPG
Just browsed some more pics, I don't even remember what I've been doing
I fitted some new front discs and Mintex 1144 pads
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/141.JPG
New gasket set for the gearbox as it was leaking and annoying me, has hopefully solved it
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/142.JPG
Here's my bonnet with some parts chopped out to fit my coilovers (eccentric topmount makes too much of the strut come through to the engine bay)
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/143.JPG
And a bit more chopping in preparation for the Aerocatches
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/144.JPG

Not got pics of it with them on yet.
i love this car, its great. well done!!
The gasket set will only stand a chance at repairing the leak if you fit it you filthy kyke mother fcuker.
I await the bonnet addition.
It's fitted you moron lol You want pics of a standard looking gearbox and no oil on my driveway?
Thanks Sloth.
Nice work Iain :D
Good stuff Iain! where'd you get the mintex's from if you don't mind me asking?
Pads and discs were from RallyDesign - Mintex 1144 pads and solid Maxtorq discs.
