Totally agree mate, just watching the vids of everyone going round at eurofest really made me want to get the car finished so I can participate! Its annoying at the moment as mine is still getting welded up so I can't do anything really which gets a bit frustrating!
Like yourself I was stuck between red and black for the inner arches. Red looks the best choice though, definately a damn sight better/cleaner than it was! A lot of time spent prepping and painting I bet :)

Nearly finished in that corner.
Theres about 4 coats of Red Smootherite Red on there to cover up the Black that was on there.

I will start on cleaning up the KONI struts too, nothing major to do with them but I have realised they are a minging shade of Yellow next to the other bits I've done. I'm tempted to put a coat of nicer Yellow (RAL 1018) on them & freshen them up. I want some GAZ coilovers when money allows though & I've got some billet top mounts on the way hopefully..

Thanks guys, motivation has been on the up in last few weeks, what with Llandow & Eurofest just passed.
Hopefully in the next few days I'll have her turned around in the garage so I can work on the drivers side & mount all the fuel lines & maybe look to turning the key one of these days. See if this engine works? lol
Nice painting Craig, did you scrup off all the underseal or just paint over. I need to do all my arches shiny instead of matt.
You might even get to a show next year at this rate!

I painted over the underseal which was scrubbed clean.
I sold the turbo engine as I had money troubles & intended to break the whole car, that went 1st but I then changed plans as no one wanted the shell. I saved it from the brink of scrapping. LOL
Wish I still had that engine, really craving some small block boost tbh.

I just wanted to fill the holes, I'm going to cut some ally plate to the shape & sandwich some rubber between it & the innerwing to create a weather guard, Stop puddle splashes getting the bay filthy.

This week I've been painting up the tie bar & TCA etc from the drivers side & am trying to get the car ready to wheel out the garage to turn around.
Didnt get much done last weekend as I was scrapping my old Luxe + Nova. R.I.P. (pics may follow)
The Mantzel plenum is bolted down with the gasket I made & a new VALEO headlamp arrived I won on ebay. ?7.99, of which ?5.00 was postage. BARGAIN! So just need to order 1 new headlamp & I have new indicators I bought years ago.
The fr end is slowly coming together. Rad is in with the Samco's, I need all new Jubilee clips on all hoses though.
What seats did you get, any pics or links?

Haha. I wanted it to be at PV this year & tbh its still no closer, yet I've put in a lot of hours since.
I wish I'd spent more time last year sprucing up all the parts that go back on, most of the work is renovating parts like hubs, tie bars, painting the floor pan etc.
Its getting there. As said when I get to turn it araond in the garage, things should really happen as I can work on th edrivers side by installing the fuel lines, fuel pump & generally work towards starting her up!
Anyone wanna witness a 16XE fire up off a bare 4 branch BTB manifold?
As I have limited tools aswell, things that need fabricating are taking a back seat, stuff like welding the custom modded battery tray, the alternator adjuster, a bracket to hold the PAS pump steady etc.
If it doesnt make the shows next year, no one on here will ever hear from me again & I will slide away into depression.
