A pic of both the seats, really happy with them except the weave on one seat goes diagonally and the other is vertically but hey ho.

I'd mention it to the supplier... They might change it, after all your aim is perfection !
love them seats mate :)
Although prices have risen; have you taken a look at any of these?

I've already bought seats mate that's the ones in the pics above.
Be nice retrimmed in leather or Alcantara
I'll drop them an email, I've spent too much to not be 100% happy.
another aberdeen nova lol...brilliant project, cant wait to see it finished
Any more news on the roof skin decision?
Ah ok, are you going to remove the roof off his one before its scrapped? It's about the only thing I havnt decided what I want to do with. Hmm decisions decisions lol
Get 1 made from a darker material. I'd love 1 made from the same material as the GSI seat bolsters.
Get what made darker? I'm confused lol
I'm probably getting the wrong end of the stick as I only read the last couple of posts recently. Were you talking about a roof skin or roof lining? I was talking about a lining lol come on it is 8am so give me a chance lol lol
Ah right got yi lol was talking about the roof skin I'll let you off it's early lol
Just unwrapped this just now and started cleaning it up. What's the best paint to use on it? Hammerite or something?
http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/u...psd6610357.jpg
get it powdered bud, doesn't cost a lot and is a lot harder wearing.
Strip right down, blasted and powdercoated
Shotblasted then epoxy resin paint is best. It won't chip and lift to allow corrosion underneath like powdercoat.
Just searched for nova carbon parts, found the site for carbon bumpers and cryed at the price :(
I can easy get it powdercoated for you if needed mate?
Thanks for the replies people I thought Hammerite because I was thinking powder coating wouldn't last long under the car?
Where can I get that? Just like halfords or something?
lol yeah not cheap does look cool though :)
Cheers I'll have a look at your thread :)
I'll have a word with you about that on Sunday.
Powder coat looks lovely when it is done and it is hard wearing although it does chip easily. Unfortunatly when it chips it allows corrosion and water under the finish causing the corrosion to spread and lift it off. The epoxy resin is supposed to stop that happening as it bonds to the metal better.
Try www.rust.co.uk as they sell it. There is a full description of how it works on their site. I have used their products before and they are excellent. An alternative is POR whch can be bought from Frost Auto Restoration but it is expensive.

Bazza, how did you get on with the seats?
Thanks novasport :) + rep
I never got round to emailing them southie, couldn't really be bothered with the hassle of sending them back etc it's really not that noticeable was just me being picky lol
I got a call from cobra today saying there was a few seats that have been sent out with the wrong holographic sticker or something and they think one of them is mine, so I've got to take pics and if its wrong send it back. so ill take the opportunity to see if theyl send me another seat with the same carbon pattern.
a blessing in disguise eh
I wonder if one set is faulty then and there covering there arsses. A good bit of luck that though and make sure they cover the cost of re-posting ;)
Well I have taken the pics and sent them off also asked the question about swapping one I them so there identical, just have to play the waiting game now lol and yeah they'll paying for the shipping David.
So I got a call back from cobra today, it is one of my seats that have to be sent back for the sticker to be changed which is no big deal as there still in the packaging. Also spoke about swapping the seat so both will have the same weave pattern which they can't do as the seats are made to order and there isn't actually a defect. No Big deal really.
