like going viral has actually done anyone any good........
Im only going to say what everyone else has said, but i hope you manage to get this sorted and the garage suffer big time. Novas are getting so rare now that even seeing a 4door loon scrapped upsets me but to see a tidy mk 1 sr with all that damage when the owner has probably spent a lot of time and money on it really winds me up especially when the person who caused it dont seem to give a toss
well said andy, seen a nice nova in my scrap yard and was very tempted to buy it but have to many projects. i would be propper p!ssed if i crashed my own nova so must be twice as bad because some clown was acting the bollocks and crashed it when he should of been doing the mot, hope they get this sorted out
Another registration just to say sorry to hear that you've had so much trouble.
It's also good to see confirmation that it was definately M&J that caused the damage as we were all going by the recovery truck and it could have turned into a witch-hunt!
We will be watching this with interest with hopes of a good outcome for you.

Wow, I haven't been on totalcarlton in ages.
Great response here mate, I say take it as far as you can. Failing that, you've enough support to put 50 cars outside the MOT centre in Protest.
most people who mot their car don't read web based car forums.. they just look in the local rag to see who is cheapest this week..
the OP needs to pursue this with the police & authorities.
Another signing up to say i think its disgusting. Got linked to this on cavmk3oc.

I might ring and book mine in, and just politly ask them not to write it off in the process lol
If you Google M&J Motors Swansea, the Migweb thread comes up as the 6th result down :)
So has the op had the car removed from the garage premises yet, as that would be my first port of call, to prevent any other misfortunes befalling it, and i would be down there with a load of mates, demanding that they sort this situation out, as if the police dont want to know (civil case so they wont) taking the heavy handed approach seems the only solution imo, hope that turning up with a load of heads behind you will scare the owner into paying up for the damages!
.
I linked it on clubcalibra.net, vauxsausage and on my FB just to spread the word also seen it on a load of other places word is definatlly spreading mate! What is it they say "A happy customer will tell a friend an unhappy one will tell everyone!" Hang on on there karma will get them for this! lol Still say its worth going to the local papers about it though!
ok, doing a childish booking stunt won't work, as they ask for a phone no. Then they can get legal.. Or simply put your number on a gay dogging site....
Also turning up with a busload of lads will definitely get the old bill out. Trying to extort monies by menace is quite serious too.
Think trading stds, local press, local consumer radio show. And try walking into a police station and filing a proper complaint so it has to be investigated.
Mowgli's right the only way to do it is by spreading the word about their tin pot operation! power to the people and all that! lol
how about a club meet there? lol
From what I hear I wouldn't want to take any of my cars in the same street never mind taking the Nova to the garage! lol lol
f lol burgo
Another member registered, read it, all I can say is... wow,
just to let you know this is also on pistonheads forums:

Good luck with your case mate!
This has now made it onto M3cutters too!
A few months back. A garage ripped my front bumper off my bmw. I gave them two choices. My friends bodyshop or BMW dealer bodyshop. It was sorted in a few weeks but i had to ring everyday and went down there a few times and had to ring head office.
Just keep pestering them and be stern. You are within you right to chose a trusted repairer etc.
Well its Monday. Will keep you posted.
Good luck.
just read all of the thread mate hope you get this sorted out and they take full responsibility what fekin w*****s good luck with it
Ok just a few points for you
1) It is an offence a very serious one for an AE or an NT (mot tester's) to threaten violence to the vehicle presenter (you) or indeed to anyone else this can result in them losing the right to carry out testing
2) My first port of call would be to VOSA report this straight away and allow them to carry out their investigation depending on the outcome of this could even mean jail time they really do have that kind of weight!! The guy is obviously in the wrong and needs bringing to book for this.
I am for my sins an MOT tester and i had a few mins to look this up in our "Bible" today in all honesty i would have let him assault me then the police would have had to get involved!!

all the best in getting this resolved

I have just seen this over on a classic VW forum http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=784670 and I feel for you. It is starting to go viral which is what you need. May I quote a previous post and show how using the power of the internet and taking the right action works for you :)
This story is slightly wrong. That 206CC (2 months old) was damaged by the local Peogeot dealer when peogeot instructed them to do a repair to the leaking roof that the owner had cleary said not to do. The owner then drove there and then to Peugeot HQ and as you said in a clam and collected manner spoke to everyone they could. Peugeot gave the owner a courtesy car very quickly even though the 206CC was very new at the time and no one had any stocks. The car never was repaired properly and the owner got a new car.
This new car also leaked and when less than a week old the owner asked for a refund having lost all faith in the model. The garage & Peugeot UK refused. Peugeot UK supplied the owner with a courtesy car while they argued - 406 estate - lots of windows :) :) . The owner went to trading standards, got legal advice on a sign and posted it in all of the windws that were behind the driver and then drove around for a week. The sign basically stated what had happened and also a link to the 206cc owners website where a thread like thsi was running. This got a lot of publicity and the owner was quickly contacted and offered an immediate refund in full.
Now how do I know this? Well I was that person. This may sound like a rambling thread but the point I am trying to make is that if you do things right and get advice first you can get some cracking results.
If people want to help then can I suggest that you all go to the review of the garage that someone put up earlier ** Click for review ** and all click on the comment that links to this thread and mark the review/comment as useful. You can't be done for just clicking the review as useful but you will be helping as it will also help the review climb the search engines ;)
/\ the cracking result is you now obviously own a Brabus then lol
I own many toys these days but never a Peugeot again :)
what a pleasant few on that page, completely missing the point and unable to see past there vw badges.
We are not all like that. I came here to offer help and not to ridicule :(
I love reply #8 on that vw forum :d
Hi, and welcome to the forum. Sorry I got the story slightly wrong, I got it second hand from a colleague and was from memory but I think I got the basic story accross.
Just trying to use it as an example to as you say, do it right and get good results. I was quite impressed and amused at how you had gone about it and thought it was a great idea to make a point and get things moving in the right direction
No worries, just dumb struck that my antics are still circling the internet :) Do you work for a dealer or Peugeot UK ?
I work for a dealer.
Part of this tale was in Autoexpress as well with pictures. I hit Peugeot with everything I could :) My advice to the OP is get the press involved. Once the olympics are over they will be desperate for stories.
"owners fault" ? lmfao
I agree with them on the spelling ;)
" but as some said its only a **** nova"
not our fault our cars are not named Herbie and does stunts.....................
