It's an app that puts an iphone ad on the end of every post instead of people just using the site from a browser like everyone else with a smartphone, because iphone users have to be different lol

Only puts an ad if you don't turn it off in the settings...

Plus it's 90000x better for using forums, don't knock it till you've used said app properly :)

Also, it's not an iOS only app... most smartphones have it.

The vBulletin app is being considered and will look at Tapatalk as part of that process. Need to consider costs and the audience it will cover etc

It's suprising how good the iPhone 4 or similar screens are and what you can do with them. PNG/vBulletin looks/works great on an iPhone 4!

As you can tell, the little links etc are a nuisance without zooming in, which is why I like the App over standard browser :)

I like the new layout, looks good, nice one well done

Another vote for Tapatalk :)

Makes viewing a forum so much easier on s smartphone, not just a iPhone

Not everyone had the use of a PC all of the time, or at work

Not sure if it's been mentioned but, when your in a forum the OP's name is larger than the thread title ??? Looks a little strange IMO

Edit- like the thread title needs to be a little bolder maybe ?

i still don't get the enjoyment in mobile phone internetting...... but i have a company nokia with a full keyboard... anything vaguely touchscreen round here gets broken really fast... our only go at an i phone ended after a week cos it was crap & the sim circuit failed, then they wanted us to pay them £300 by visa card before they would take it for warranty repair, so they got told.

A lot of the spam being posted is from old accounts who joined pre upgrade and sat dormant for months on end.

We're still getting some spambots past the captcha though, but we'll implement a solution in due course.

Not complaining or anthing but my "subscribed threads" does not update and also on mine and everyones I look at "threads started" on their profiles, nothing appears or only threads from like 5 years ago appear. Has the new update removed these or something. :confused:

The old forum had a little extra code from Kev that would prevent a post from appearing if it had a URL in there and the poster had less than 15 posts.... this isnt a feature in this SW. Plus from what Lee says the control panel for the new VB is somewhat confusing (well maybe for Bottle Top Bill lol) so some extras will take a little time to implement, so please be patient.... or would you rather have the old software back that had gone spazzy and put double/triple posts everywhere ;)

Given the place was inundated with them in 18 hrs I'm not looking forward to how its gonna look on monday morning :s

Is it possible some threads are gone? I had a lot more posts and some WIPP threads? Or are these still on the way?

IMO, the looks needs have getting used to but it's quicker for me ;)

I think all of the threads and posts from the old site/software are still here, but it seems the search only works from when this forum went live, so although the old stuff is there, the new forums search will not find it, hope that makes sense to you :thumb:

I think they're slowly updating, as when I last searched for something it had threads from 06 or something, but cut off beginning of 07 or so. So it seems to be catching up slowly, by 2012 we should be able to search threads in real time :d
