I think its what 'Fearless' Dave France used to use on the old blue rusty rocket so should be ok.
Few others use this set up so think its tried & tested.
Wasnt easy to find Fiat Uno parts though anymore!!
Cheers i'll have a lookie.
Progress looking good Martin :thumb:
Nice to see you've move the brake fluid reservoirs back to the cylinders - never liked your chrome 'boobs' mounting plate lol
Used a Mk1 scirocco linkage on the old rusty rocket - I'm using an uno motor on the current project :thumb: - will be picking your brains about the wiring !! ;)Quote:

Stu got it working on constant but couldnt get it to work on intermittent. It would start then switch off before it would complete the sweep. Needs a relay but only messed for about 10 minutes, so another job for later!!!
Martin
stunning looking engine bay mate, real eye for detail :thumb:
+ rep
All the Uno conversions I have seen only work on one speed - Been trying to find a wiring diagram for the motor - but other than buying a haynes manual - I've yet to find one.
I'm sure stuart will sort it
Cheers Dave, i'll look in to it.
Looks cracking Martin, do you still need this rear window?
Scott
If its any help my mates dad used to work at a main dealer fiat garage and he seems to know everything fiat about anything...
Looking bloody stunning martin.
Looks great martin, even better than before if thats possible lol
Looking good Martin..
just read this from start to finish all i can say is woow.thats nice
Not much progress recently i'am affraid.
Its off at end of the week to get its electrics sorted so hopefully in a week or so it will be running!!
Anyway picked this up today from powdercoaters. Bought it 2nd hand from Steve Edwards (ste45) It had the end machines off like i wanted as not running a cambelt cover.
The colour is Honda championship white like my mates Integra Type R DC2.
Here are a few pics.

Good work!!

Looks very nice!
Just had a picture sent to my mobile from my mate Stu who has the car at the moment sorting out the rats-nest of wires.
He decided to remove the Nova fuse box completly & replace it with a totally new fuse box to neaten things up.
Not a very good picture, but you may get the idea.
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...V/Image029.jpg
He also has a similar box to re-locate also the relays too.
He is hoping to be done in next few weeks (because ha wants his garage back!!) then its time to press the button and 'hopefully' fire her up.
Martin
Rather him than me!
Sweet, i mayhave to swing round to Stu's and a nose at the mess!
Nice progress.. love the white paint with the other paint
Hello,
Well Stu has been working solidly last few days on the old girl.
About 5.30 last night it was time to see if it would start!
Fire extinguishers at the ready we pressed the button. Engine turned over, few blips of throttle and it fired up for the first time in a year!!
Few small fuel leaks from the goodridge fuel hoses, just need a tweak with a spanner & should be ok.
Didnt want to idle too well & the Stack was light for low oil pressure so turned it off.
I then remembered i hadnt set the throttle pot or idle screw on the throttle bodies so that should be why it didnt want too idle.
Looking at the Stack its reading -99 so that 'should' just be a oil pressure sensor problem & not an engine problem.
Sorted a few more things then about 7.30 before time to call it a day tried to start it again after setting throttle pod and idle as per SBD with the voltmeter.
Battery then flat & no jump leads, charger or jumper pack to start it, wheeled it back into garage!!
Everything is looking good, Stu has a couple of things to sort on the alarm to get pin switches working & central locking, wire up Fiat Uno wiper then loom it all up with special tape to make it look pretty.
Then viola get the old girl back.
Cheers
Martin
Sweet :) Bet Stu's happy!
He will be happy when its not stuck in has garage anymore!!Quote:

Did have an issue with rear brake light not working. I checked the bulb, obviously but not very well!!! Stuck new bulb in after bit of head scratching and hey presto.
Hear you popped down yesterday morning. Just missed you i think.
Yea called in about 10:30 to see how it was going, looked a right mess to me :)
At least everything works now and it can be tidied-up...
One the loom starts to get taped up when its all working how it should be, then it will all come together & look top notch.
Martin, do you still need these window's?
Scott
Yes mate,Quote:

Right popped over Stu's yesterday where the car is living at the moment whilst he works his magic on the wiring.
Started it up to get to temperature to make sure everything is ok, fan kicking in, no leaks etc.
All seems fine.
Took a small video of my camera below.

Martin
Sounds familiar! lol
Is it on an MBE basemap mate? Mine would pop like that as it's over fueling, might need to fiddle more with the Throttle Potentiometer (think thats what its called) as they can adjust easy by them self! and get the air flow meeter on them to balance them, as this helps no end! :thumb:
I like the sound of the popping.
Wanted it to pop some flames, but sadly not!!
Its on MBE but was mapped on the incorrect throttle boddies.
Set the throttle pot up as per SBD with the voltmeter, when its all back together properly i will book it onto the rollers to get them set up again with these bodies on & set fuel regulator up.
Was just pleased to hear it run & idle nicely to be honest!
that steering wheel boss up for grabs ??
Happy days :)
lol lol lol lolQuote:

Am i missing something? What you on about??Quote:

It uses its own thermerstat, he was on about running it through one of the outputs also on the alarm so when i activate that if its still above temperature it will stay running for an alloted time.
