Back to the thread: I once was witness to a good friend telling a particularly annoying youth that his 4 stroke moped was slower than a 2 stroke one, & he should drain the engine oil out & up the carb mixture to 'convert' it......
2 days later we found out that the youth had done it with the obvious results, at least the prat couldn't turn up at pubs we drank at any more
