Remember this car well from back in the day, be intresting to see the outside of it now.
Your plans for it sound awsome.
ill be changing the wheels over at the weekend so i can push it out the lockup. ill get some pics up. the arches arnt a bonnie sight...
Look forward to seeing how this goes. Are you planning for it to look like an original GSi, with the exception of it being carbon? lol
^ yeah thats basically the plan mate, well for the outside. the inside will be stripped with a carbon dash, carbon seats and a roll cage
got a we bit more done today, wanted more done but got too dark. i pumped the tyres up for the first time in around 4 years so hopefully they stay inflated.
The engine will be removed tomorrow aswell (hopefully) lol

project deal with rust before adding carbon lol
how are you going about rust treatment and protection mate?
lol lol it's going into the bodyshop in the next few months. It's getting blasted etc. They can worry about it lol I'll hopefully have it out the lockup tomorrow I'll get some pics up of the rear arches etc
Are you wrapping body panels in carbon? Or are you going the whole hog and create moulds to make full carbon parts? Just wondering, as I quite fancy full carbon stuff myself (when I can afford it, that is). Either way, excellent work and nice to see Steve's old GSi being saved from the great scrapyard in the sky. :thumb:
love the front end on this :)
