when you look at the thousands of miles we ever did, three kids sat on the enormous back seat with no belts, those spindly pillars holding the roof on, its amazing we survived the seventies
mate, you was safer then than you are now. now your more likely to get burns or whiplash from the airbags and belts, cars are stronger so ccrumple less so impact forces are higher. the list goes on.

Audi actually left group b before the ban took effect, and the father and son who own protec motorsport were rebuilding a quattro like the mouton one a few years back, the father was a audi mechanic back in the day for the rally teams iirc, Glasgow Audi have a pearleasent UR and a red Sport both in the showroom, they also had a ex works swb rally car too but it's been gone for a while now.
