don't beat yourself up about it not lining up Iaan, at the end of the day, its a track orientated build, so all that matters, is that it gets abused around a circuit!

Can you not just grind that weld off and "adjust" it slightly?

Cheers Olly, I guess I should be more worried about the performance but still wouldn't mind it looking nice!. Meh, can't do anything about it now!

Adam nah, there's no adjustment when the C pillar and sill are welded in. Luckily the new panel is set back slightly and the groove slightly shallower so may be able 'reconstruct' it with 3 tonnes of filler. lol

Don't fancy coming down to do the arch lips on my MK1? lol if not im going to give it a go!...

Little tip for next time, using self tappers screw the pannel on in a few places, this way it will stay lined up. Then you can tack it in place, then remove the screws and tack thru the screw hole.

Edited, seen the clamps.

Yeah Benn I had about 8 molegrips and clamps on it but I guess I didn't spot the difference until it was all one colour when I primered it.

In all seriousness it looking great, don't worry about that quarter, my drivers side one was out of line just like that too, look on the plus side as least you don't need a new water pump for the engine, looks like brand new

I was only joking dude, will be doing it my self (even if i make mistakes) as i cant afford to pay some one to do it.
