You actually answered something I wondered for a while actually, how people can run 100+ amp welders on home circuits, where I know the biggest breaker in our house is 80 amp, but that's the output not the input :thumb:

They arn't actually that heavy as a lot of what you see gets cut away leaving the shape of the inner arch. Tomorrow when i cut the turret to the inner arch profile i will weigh it and compare it to the weight of the removed metal from the original arch.

Looking good. Had a look at my Rally design escort turrets earlier and they use a similar gauge of steel to yours but have a double skinned top which is what you have done now.

It further confirms my thoughts that the turrets needed something more unfortunately i don't have anything to compare mine to so had to just suck it and see before coming to an end result. I'll probably have to change them again but they don't call it a work in progress for nothing.
