Alloy top mounts, camber bolts, and adj bottom arms might do it, but what a faff fro some wheels! lol
All looks spanking though mate..

Is it the width of the wheels making the sit so far out? Or the off set?
Roll the lips and pull the arches by hand a bit.. That will give more clearance.
Can you get the inside of the wheel machined to give a better/highter off set?
Excellent build, keep up the great work :thumb:
It's the offset Ben. When I looked at them I figured you wouldnt really wanna machine any material from the inner mounting surface, maybe 2mm (tops). IMO the thickness of the casting from the base of a wheel bolt taper to the mounting surface isnt all that generous.
We'll have to get the adjustable TCA's from the other shell we have in storage & obv replace them so that remains mobile.
Definately stick some random rims on it to keep the build moving.
Nice one mate, I'll drop Spud a PM to arrange dropping round his to swap over the bottom arms, good job I still have all the old stuff that was on the Sport in the boot of the Seat lol
I need to pull the wheel in about 12mm for the wheels to clear the arches I reckon, I hoping there's that much adjustabity in the bottom arms
Lot of hassel for a set of wheels I agree, I like a challenge tho lol
Ive heard using stainless bolts on suspension etc.. is a bad idea because the material is too strong and when it comes under stress it would snap off, where if it was a mild steel bolt it would bend instead.
Anyone know anything about that ?
I've only used stainless nuts and washers, stainless bolts are a no no yeah, too brittle, I've used black high tensile bolts
If you move the lower arm in, And then try and get the top in the same amount (Maybe not 12mm overall, but more so if), wont you get the drive shafts bottoming out in the CVs?
Good point :( I hadn't thought about that tbh
But 10/12mm should be ok IMO
This is becoming a real headache, which is slowly pushing me towards giving up at these ET33 off set wheels :(
I think if you move the hub in 10/12mm, it will bottom out the CVs, Even though your not running it that low.
I know the wheels are nice and retro, But The more work you put into fitting these, the more it seems its not a great idea.
