Ah ok i though it was that, i can have a look tomorrow at the others we have. I know you prob don't want to but is there any way you could file that into the new cover?
If not i can do it to another cover but it would be best to have the original one to make sure its the same
Hopefully i can do it with a die grinder... Well i think..
That white oil shizzle is more than likely caused by condensation IMO.
I would have thought so, just be careful you don't slip and put a track across the sealing face.Quote:

The changing temperatures (weather) & warming & cooling of the engine will be the cause tbh.
Yeah i used to drain the compressor at the bodyshop was the same really, just wanted to check it was well not normal but nothing to worry about really..
Know why it was there and what it was....
Last time it was run was in the snow so...
Got up this morning, went out to the garage and put the heater on to get ready for some painting fun.
The sealant even tho i slaped it on good and thick was dry and rubbery so started with a coat of blue.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...0on/stuff6.jpg
Well a few coats, let the dry then Gave it some lacquer, had to leave the garage as i was getting a little high..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff15.jpg
MMMMmmm much better. Brush marks arn't as visable to the eye.
With that was drying, i set up tidying up the loom and bits. Was it untidy and just pushed down.
So the fuel tank vent valve was bolted here (std placing)
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff10.jpg
Moved it to here, so it will be hidden under the top hat cover..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff11.jpg
Cabled tided the tb cable up too. Made the routing more tidy, which we like.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff12.jpg
Next i moved on to the untidy loom, this is at the end of the let loom. Reverse plug, 1st gear boost, coil plug and hallafect sensor clug.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff16.jpg
Reverse light plug cut off, wiring cut back capped over and run back in to the loom.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff18.jpg
1st gear boost switch, plug cut off, wiring cut back the soldered together then pulled back in to the box that sits on the injectors for tidy ness.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff17.jpg
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff19.jpg
Leaving me with...
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff20.jpg
Did some trimming and wrapping (gonna heat shrink them when i can get it out, made the garage to tidy to get stuff)
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff24.jpg
So now it looks like this, well it be a bit more tidy..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/stuff25.jpg
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...20on/stuff.jpg
Bit better.
Then made this up for dan to blank off the EGR valve on his mk4, looks like it worked too :)

Spend large amounts of money on coilovers and brakes so you can go fast and corner well, best place to test that is a track.
Absolutly true that benn you buy the best you need to test it lol.Quote:

Power wise, a 1.2 will lose your drive rights for a year, so a 2lt isnt really needed.
Well it certainly looks pretty mate lol.Quote:

Cheers dude and no i haven't, still need them.
Took my inlet for some machining, by a awesome man with a frigging huge mill. He cut the recess in to the inlet for me.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...letstuff16.jpg
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...letstuff14.jpg

I assume to make it fit past the slam panel better...?
Are they going to be able to tig that little wedge?
/\ yes i would have thought so
