Took it out a while ago, fitted the red and clear lights instead, but when i was hi-jacked one of the lights got smashed, so jsut shoved these in untill i can get another set of clear lights to tint red :thumb:Quote:

put them on the nova, gsi 3 spokes are the dogs bollox
Three spokes thankfully won't fit over the front brakes on your Nova Dave
Tempted to pop some GSI brakes on though, not too sure what im doing yetQuote:

Well after 5 hours and a 3 man struggle (big thanks to my mate Tom and a even bigger thanks to Graeme off here) who swapped me some stuff for a full electric window setup and central locking kit, including a custom made boot lock mechanism so the boot also locks on the system... dont know how many novas have got that :P
No pics, may get some tomorrow, also removed boot lock now and smoothed over the hole, so ive got a square button only, less poverty FTW!!! :thumb:
The novas looking good mate.;)
I think those wheels are growing on me
IMO I think it would look good with a black tailgate vinyl :)
Andy
Looking good dave! One word - lower.
I think it sits quite nice as it is.
Nice work on the CL, so it locks as you lock and you can see the key hole twist in the tailgate?!

I got the boot central locking of Keith on here with the mint red Gsi, Spuders is right it is Cav bits and the lock has been removed and filler so its on less for the local Scrotes to put a screwdriver in lol
Yeah think I get it, very fancy.
Andy ive seen GSI boot vynal against grey bumpers and it looks poo! Be staying as it is atm
John could go lower tbh, only by another inch or so, but usually has a boot full or stuff anyway so its allways lower than in the pics
Spudders yeah the boot lock is off a Cav i believe, very smart and love the fact its less loverty now, switch wires will be swapped this week so the switches work the right way :thumb:
Oh and also it passed its MOT today with only one advisory... an oil leak form the sump nut lol.... so shes on the road for another year! :thumb:

How can that be easier than unsoldering and resoldering two wire Spudders? I have always done mine that way anyway
Have you got any pictures of this, would really like to see what it looks like. Nova is always looking stunning aswell! :thumb:Quote:

Can really see the texture... looks factory

Also fitted electric windows to it also, after a nightmare with them turned out to be some dodgy gunked up switches, while they were out filed the holes in the centre console to put them upside down so they now work the right way
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h8...x/DSC03372.jpg
This is how the doorcards sit atm, hopefully getting some electric window ones from offplot on here

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h8...x/DSC03374.jpg
And this is how the wiring is fed through on both sides for now, ill do it properly when i take it off the road next year, once the doors closed its hidden between the door and dash anyway

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h8...x/DSC03376.jpg
Its getting less and less poverty as the days go by :thumb:
i think all of us have done this at one point or another!, if you ever need any conduit for the doors i have plenty work wont miss ;)Quote:

Its now back as it was before the jacking, apart form the new better exhaust lol
My new job as a valeter also means i cna keep it minty mint from now on too, been valeted twice in the last week lol :thumb: ITS ALL GURDDDD!!
Looking good, i like the boot lock and the rear lights very smart.
iain
Looks cool, liking the rear lights.
Why not paint the whole grab handle to match the lock/blank?
Nice touch Dave, the lights suit it very well ;)
Would look better with no grab handle and wiper though IMO.
A nice white pinstripe would look good also :)
If the switches work right but upside down the 2 wires going to each door needs swapped round.
Fantastic car mate!!!
Why you not try the euro style rear lights?;)
Cheers Adam, the grab handle will probabley be getting painted soon, the filler in the lock has sunk slightly so ill take it off in afew days and give it a good going over again, give it a thickish coat so it can withstand constant pressing :thumb:
Thanks Southie, the rear lights are one of my favourite bits of the car, the grab handle is staying, but im tempted to de-wiper it next year when it gets fully painted white again, we'll see what happens
Ive had euro rear lights in it before but is got clear indicator lenses all the way around now which looks alot smarter, i chop and change weeks lol but thes elights are defo staying :thumb:
ok mate, so when you change your engine?lol
Still looking good mate :)
looking nice same back lights as mine always liked this car
Dave, I've GTE wheel trims... PM me :)
Not updated this is a while now, managed to get a job at a local insurance approved garage as a Valeter, so been really keeping on top of her giving her a full valet twice a week minimum... Main updates since last time were fitted a flip out 7" screen (their is a surround getting fabricated but keep hitting problems with it) Fitted a Cavalier SRI/Astra GSI steering wheel which has a much better feel to it and make steering a little easier, fitted tweeters into the doors to cover the old window winder holes, and jsut generally keeping her mint, ill let the pics do the talking

Have you replaced the centers with Cesaro style ones?
Gsi interior required lol and the rear wiper moved round a notch so it sits straight. The exterior is smart as fook :thumb:
Scott their not Cesaro ones their too big not sure what wheel their off they were on them when i bought them years ago
Brian i dont fancy a Black interior unless i was to do everything including carpets dash and i dont want a shoddy poor looking one so its staying for now, and the wiper usually does sit straight jsut because i lifted it up to polish the glass :thumb:
