Brilliant car mate, glad for you that you didnt sell it, i think you would have regretted it. Why are you doing the car to a lower spec than first planned? i know that 400bhp is still going to be absolutley insane in a car like this but as you started just wandering why you changed plans? also how come you decided on the 15" wheels? as it's cosworth running gear and basically the bottom half of a sierra would 17"s not be a better bet? as didnt the sapphire cosworth touring car run 18's ? Anyhow cant wait to see some updates and best of luck however you decide to carry on with the project.
Money is always the answer I should think.. I'm sure we've all started out with aspirations of grandure then thought to ourselves "f**k me this is expensive"..
Yes money is the answer as it is now its costing me aroun 10 -11k:confused: . And i have fitted smaller wheels as its easier to get slicks in 15" and alot cheaper And buying wheels is cheaper. I can also sell the big brakes i have to get money back on them. Little things like that will get it built faster. Also the siemens injectors i had bought for it i would have to upgrade my ECU to L8 so that would be 250 for a second hand ecu and then 300 for a chip for it and then a live map around 500 the list goes on and on. So if i keep my old injectors i will save 1000 quid just on that alone:thumb: And since my 1st kid will be here in a coulpe of weeks i need to save as much as i can now:eek:   lol
Done some more to it tonight got the rear bumper fitted and the engine loom fitted on and through the bulkhead. Also little things like the ignition module, map sensor and ignition coil all fitted now:)
Expensive game aint it tunning Cosworths lol
Mind you, the standard 8x16's from an Escos are worth a right fortune now there not made anymore!! Id eBay them on TBH!
Yes i do have loads im going to sell i still have the escort shell sitting. My mate is buying it of me when im done with it but its just to handy for storage just now lolQuote:
