I have kinda sorted the wiring for the speed sender, just need to pluck a switched live from the loom for the sensor & the PAS relay still.
Minor jobs left now really. Fill & bleed brakes (for towing), connect PAS pipes, buy a reservoir & fill that with fluid.
Few bulbs & minor jobs etc. Then book it for an MOT.
I can't wait to hear the engine aswell. I keep hearing something out the office window at work, I keep missing it but my imagination tells me its a valver Nova. Sounds ace, want mine to sound similar. lol
Last nights progress involved finishing all the brake lines, got to the last one, made the pipe to length, did the last flare...... forget to put the union on first! Tvvat!
sounds good mate, you'll have to do a little video of the first start:D i think you'll like how it sounds with the cams, sounds awesome at idle:D
remember this :D

That engine bay pic is my phones screen saver again......
Whats the best source for a switched live? Need 1 in the battery tray area for PAS & the speed sender which come in through the passenger footwell (old servo hole)
in passenger footwell area you shoudl be able to steal one from your original ecu's power feeds... also if you dont want logn wires everywhere for the P/S im sure there is a switched live on the wiper motor, perfectly good to use as its only going to draw a small current as its only gotto to switch the relay on.
i got another couple pics i think lol..
oh and i will dig out the paperwork at some point for the engine n that sure it will be handy for you...
chris
Cheers mate. Thats a help.
Wasnt that power run (pictured) done with a slipping clutch. Was it ever replaced?
hmm, good point there. i put a good clutch in it not long before the engine was removed. they reckoned it was slipping a bit on the RR but didnt defiantly never slipped on the road..
