Got some bits back today from Powdercoaters.
Not 100% if I like yet. Need to get car out of the garage to see in proper light.

Fed up with shiney & saw alot of VW's at Ultimate Dubs show earlier in year with 'crackle' powercoating and liked it so thought, give it a try.

'If' i get an MOT pass then were back on the road for the summer.
Not driven it for 6 months so looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.
Crackle looks cool but the bay looks quite dark now? Nice work, shouldn't be much to fail on the MOT surely?!
Yea does look a little dark whick is why i need to drag it out into daylight for proper look.
Only done 300 miles since last MOT so hope not.
Emmisions always what i worry about most!

Like it on the strut brace, not sure about it on the tanks yet but may grow on me.
Could do with a metal spark plug cover done in the same finish.
Cut round the drain plug with a sharp blade before removing it but you can probably still expect it to peel. Better still, don't use it.
The drain plug on catch tank was done seperate & i re-tapped it earlier before screwing it back in so 'hopefully' be okay.Quote:
